Yes, plus (in general) women don't like that in a mate, so they will probably be more likely to be lonely too. Good points.
We don't have any orphanages in America anymore. Orphanages were unsanitary, full of disease, many kids suffered from malnutrition, and some starved.
We now only have foster homes and adoptive centers, I believe. They only put kids there if they can't find relatives or friends of the child or the child's parents to take them in.
Anyways, I'd say a depressed person. Depression is not fun, I know. I have anxiety, schizophrenia, and I used to have depression, as well. Although, it only lasted about four months, but it felt like years! I couldn't bring myself to do visible damage on myself, but I did cut once, very lightly. Only a little of the scar is still there. I bled out all of my frustration and sadness onto papers, and became an artist, I also practiced writing. It turned me from a little girl who wanted to become a princess by the time she was 14, to a 14 year old girl who wants to become an editor and live somewhere colder, and not be as damn poor as she is.
For me it was between the wife with starving kids and shit but it doesn't specify how old the kids are and whether or not at least one has a job or not so i checked that off the list then it was between unskilled man and chronically depressed. Which I can relate to both. I am unskilled, and chronically depressed..BUT I'm probably unskilled because i use my time being depressed instead of learning something to test the skills that i lack. It's a big continuous topic that I could probably go on and on about.
I just think that being unskilled sucks when you don't have a job. But hold the phone, it doesn't say that the unskilled man doesn't have a job... so the chronically depressed persons life would suck!!! Unless they were chronically depressed from living in the orphanage.. damn. If that was the case then that explains why they are depressed with no skills.. which would only mean they have low self-esteem so they meet a fat, ugly african-American, homosexual wife.
Try a recently divorced mom, with 3 kids all being in college. Her & dad were married for 26 years; if he wanted to just leave us it should have been a long time ago. I feel like my whole life up untill this point was just a lie. It doesn't help that he doesn't contact us anymore or help us out financially. It's hard enough holding down a household on the income we have, and with the shitty economy its hard to find a good job. That's where college comes in. Thank God for financial aid.

I chose chronically depressed, because every other person on the list has the potential to find happiness and contentment in their lives. If someone has permanent depression, no matter what gifts life brings they will never be able to overcome their feeling of despair.
I suppose so, but I read 'chronic' to mean regardless of help (drugs, psychiatry), they will remain depressed.
That being said, I supposed any of the others on the list could also suffer from depression, and that would make their situations even tougher. I don't know...

Right...it really depends on the person, no matter what their disadvantage. Although of all the choices, it does seem most likely that an unskilled man would be at the least advantage just due to the fact that that's the bulk of people in jails, courts, and prisons....seems like they have the most trouble.
Broke unskilled man....many turn to crime to get by, then comes drugs/alcohol, then comes arrests, jail, prison....shitty life. Make it bad for everyone, not just themselves. Esp if they have kids.
i chose depressed because there are a lot of problems in america and they could kill themselves which means they would end up a lot worse than any of those other people. plus a lot of those mentioned on the list would probably develop depression.
the senior citizen should have saved money for retirement, an orphan can find love from other places besides parents until he is adopted, a homo can live in la where he'll be worshipped, a single divorced mother would have a hard life ill admit that one, a fat ugly american woman wouldnt have much trouble fitting in, african americans are treated better than any other race nowadays and an unskilled man should become skilled.
And the depressed person should quit feeling sorry for themselves and be happy that they are not

*A Homosexual hoping to God that his Dad doesn't find out that he has a mate and disowns hims
*An orphan having to turn tricks on the street just to buy some food (which is easy to do, he is being molested by his foster father so it doesn't hurt anymore)
*A single, divorced mother whose husband left her for a girl that just turned 18 and is lying on his tax records to keep from having to pay fair child support
*The depressed person is probably a fat ugly American woman feeling sorry for herself

It saddens me that a child in an orphanage got only 5 votes. Fat ugly women, depressed people, and broke unskilled men do not have it worse than orphan children. That is insane.
Haha, single women my ass. NO woman has to be alone if she doesn't want to be. If you're female and single, it's your own goddamn fault for having such unrealistic standards.
