Which would you rather be?

Simply would you rather be one or the other?

Also you can mention below if you would prefer to date a skinny/fat male or if you would rather date a skinny or fat female.

Fat 19
Thin 155

  • Completely depends on how fat and how thin. If it was a choice between skeletal anorexic and morbidly obese I literally couldn't decide. If it's slightly underweight or slightly overweight, I don't really mind.

I feel that I can often empathize with slightly chunky people more, cuz they're like me. =P

      • Very thin, if I could just eat and put weight on again.

            • I think I phrased the question slightly wrong...Kind of meant if you had to stay thin or fat as you couldn't gain weight or lose it

If I were skinny, it would be easier to get to a decent weight. If I were fat, it would take A LOT of work to get into a decent shape. So I pick thin because you still have the ability to change yourself no matter what.. it's not like I myself am anorexic or bulimic or anything. So it isn't that hard of a choice.

But this poll just simply says if I were thin or fat. So therefore I'd still be able to gain the weight.

This is not about semantics. You my friend, are under the delusion that losing weight is harder than gaining weight. Being 40 pounds over weight is the same as being 40 pounds under weight.

If you're underweight you can just eat a ton of junk and not care about nutrition. Whereas if you were bigger, you would have to watch what you eat. I'm sure it'll still take about a year to gain so much weight but it's not harder than losing weight. Especially for a female.

Just because you're underweight doesn't mean you can eat whatever junk food you want. You'd still need a balanced diet, just maybe a bit more on your plate?
By all means, I'm not skinny, but my parents take in foster kids and the kids that show up are usually very skinny and weak because they never got any of the right food. One of the kids here eats soo much, but he can't gain weight. Not so simple.

I'll rather be fat, I would put the effort in to lose weight and to maintain it. If I'm thin, I would eat and never know when to end.

The choice isn't between obese and skinny, it's between fat and thin.

Definitely thin. It's easier to gain weight than it is to lose.
