Which would you do if someone asked you to face the sun?

Okay, let's say someone asks you to "face the sun" for a selfie.
Would you turn your body towards it, or would you look directly at it, for the photo?
I'm just trying to figure out which one is normal..

Is it normal to turn your body to the sun? 5
Is it normal to look directly at the sun? 5

While overcast is better lighting for photos, the subject should face the sun to minimize shadows and glare. Photography 101. However you dont have to stare at the sun to face it, just look at the camera with the sun on your face.

Bingo. The best pics I have taken was when it was overcast because of the defused lighting. I have used a flash even in the daytime if the sun is overhead. It helps fill in the shadows in the face such as eye sockets.

Photo 101: Keep the sun at your back and the subject in front of you.

Sunset pics come out good too if the sunset is behind you.

Also don't have your subject look directly at the camera. The pic will come out looking "flat". Have the subject stand or have them face and look at something at a slight angle away.

What the Hell? Child, you know I'm all about overcast skies. I'm not trying to go blind.

    What?

Why would you look at the sun directly? Just turn your body, and look at the camera. Or if you're trying to be a model about it, just look off in the distance (not at the sun, maybe at the ocean or something).
