I think it's okay for a Male to Female transexual 'cause the women's bathroom is all closed-off stalls anyway, but, this may sound rude, I also think it depends on how "female" the person looks in the first place.
That depends on too many factors for a pat answer.
Some trans women who still have male plumbing find it easier to use men's facilities; others are more comfortable in a stall. Some people are pee-shy and don't use public toilets except in direst necessity. Some people just opt for whatever's closest or whichever bathroom is empty.
The last thing I'm thinking about when I go into a public toilet is examining other people's genitals while I'm in there, so I probably wouldn't even know if a trans woman was in there with me. Why should I care?
If you have parts of a women and identify as man I say use the ladies. If you have man parts but dress like a lady I say use the men. However if possible I would say just use the unisex bathroom.
Since they are made for either sex to enter so no ones going to trip. Secondly your question is confusing since you are describing transgender not transsexual. If you are a man who has become a women with all lady parts use the ladies.
If a lady who got all men parts from surgery use the men. If you are a lady with boobs and a penis but need your boobs removed I say use the ladies till your boobs are gone since they have stalls anyways so no one will notice your penis.
If you are a man and have a penis and boobs I would say you look funny going into the men so either strap down your tits or use the chicks and hope you can pass for a lady. You know a lot of places started adding unisex restrooms. Instead of questioning why not just request they add these in your area.
Unisex bathrooms are helpful for a number of reasons. They usually have a picture of a family on them or some a picture with a line and man on one side girl the other.
If a mother is in a place by herself with a little boy and girl. She is probobly going to go in the ladies bathroom since she is a girl. The little boy should not be in the girls room but mommy doesnt want to leave him alone. When adults do this most people dont trip. Since I think they understand. I think this could serve the second purpose of helping transgender/transsexual people.
I wasn't aware of that, thank you for your answer. I'm just posing a hypothetical question when the choices are male female out of curiousity as to gender bender acceptance in the public domain and how they fit in with categorization.
You are welcome. Transgender means identifying with one gender but not always reflecting it physically. Transsexual means you got a sex change. I hope this information helped you.
Oh god when I first posted this poll I titled it with transvestites and after reading the additional information below, users answered that the correct term I should be using for someone who dresses as a woman and identifies as a woman without the female genitalia is called a transsexual. Many people said that and i found a definition that backed it up. So I amended it to read transsexual. God this post has been more effort than its worth! Haha I picked such an ambigious field to probe it would seem
Well I looked up the definition and from shows I watched and other gays have explained transgender means that. Tran-sexual means you got a sex change. Watch I will give you the google dictionary definition.

Its not just you. This stuff is confusing.
Nah, transgenders are men brainwashed by society into believing that just because they like girly things and act like a girl, that they should be a girl.
Yeah transgender sounds like it makes more sense when you put the meaning of the two seperate words together. I think you've got the right terminology there. I've never actually heard transgender used in everyday speech though but I would say its the correct term. Lol I'm not gonna make another amendment though so we'll just have to run with transsexual lol
I often asked myself the same question. Once I was in a club and there was this guy dressed like a woman and I was keeping an eye on him to know which toilet he used. I waited and waited and finally saw him heading in the ladies pee-room.
Do you think there should be a another pee-room?
Whichever one you identify with and dress as. The only exception might be a female-to-male transvestite (no surgery) who might feel a bit out of place in the men's room without a penis.
They should, if one is available, use the unisex/family one. If there isn't one of those, use the one that matches the gender they are seen as, in this case the female one.
Mens. If you have a penis, you should use the men's restroom. It doesn't matter who you are attracted to, and if you used that logic, then gay men would also have to use the women's restroom.
