I'd say neither. Doing things which make him realise his own value, regardless of being subservient or the boss of others. Confidence should be about self-image as opposed to comparisons with others. I know that's not quite how it works, though.
Well leaving aside that argument, I'd say that ideally you'd be around people with about equal confidence. You'd feel the most comfortable, and as a result, most confident. But between those two choices, I think it's a little trickier. You'd certainly feel more confident around men with less confidence, but you may feel empowered being in public with a bunch of alpha males, so it depends what you're going for. The top-dog situation gives you a weird sort of insular confidence within the group, and the bottom-tier situation gives you an equally weird public confidence alongside the group.
As long as you rely on other for your value, you will always feel worthless. True change comes from within.
a guy raises his confedence by catching his prey, a girl :P
as for friend groups I dont think you should grade those on their self confidence it definately should not matter as to who you hang out with
I think with those who are on the same confidence level. I think that when you are the same as those around you, you feel more at ease with yourself and secure; and it makes you feel like you are confident.
That is why when you are around those who are more confident, you might pretend to be confident even though you are not.
I am not a guy, but I have found that when I am surrounded by people who are similar to me, that I am more confident. However, it could depend. Sometimes the more confident people are needed depending on the situation.
