Which of the following northern european countries do you like most?

Please write the reason why in the comments. Feel free to write whatever you think of.

PS: I deliberitaly only took more northern European countries to get the opinion on those countries.

Seeing as Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece are also very popular and known as touristic destinations, I wanted to limit the scope a bit to get a clearer view for the above-mentioned countries. :)

I also left more eastern European countries out of scope, as well as Iceland and Groenland.

    I haven't traveled enough to have much of an opinion based on anything except the media... So I withhold judgement.

    I would love to visit all of the countries in your list though.

    And why wasn't eastern Europe on your list?

    I choose France because I'm of French nationality but after them it would be Germany, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Belarus and Ukraine.

    i think they all sound amazing! i would love to travel to western Europe but the countries that i'm especially interested in are France (Versailles & Chanel <333), Germany (my bf is of German descent), Switzerland (snowy alps!)and England. Has anyone been to any of these places btw???

          Imagine being trapped in a windowless pit in the very bowels of hell itself and you might have some idea what it's like down london. Come up north if you ever visit, theres a few thousand fields full of sheep and cows, with the strong northern accents aswell you may think your no longer in a english speaking country. A guy from brazil honestly once asked me if people from liverpool actually speak english.

          It's pretty good. Not many people have the great accent sadly :( It is pretty similar to America tbh, except from our sense of humour. London is a cool place to visit, but it's tiny compared to the big cities that you get. You Americans get loads of cities with their individual landmarks (Golden Gate Bridge, Statue of Liberty, White House), but over here the only city really worth seeing is London, unless you want to go to Scotland or Wales.

          Oh yeah, and most of our countryside is a bit shit. If you want big mountains you need to go to France or Switzerland. The weather is horrible here. We can't predict it for more than a few days in the future, and even then it will always rain anyway. I could go on forever talking about how England is crap, but it really is quite nice here, if you're just visiting. You should come sometime!

    I love the politics of all the Scandanavian countries, especially Sweden. Of course, I'm in the UK right now, so I'm somewhat biased. I also like Belgium and Switzerland, both lovely countries to visit.

    @ pumpedupkicks (81912) I did not write it wrong, just in German (one of the two main languages in Luxembourg). But OK since the rest of the country names are put in English, I'll let you have it ;)

    I've always liked Sweden, mostly because of the awesome music (ABBA, A-Ha, Ace of Base etc.).

    i have only being to Northern and Southern Ireland
    so i would pick Northern Ireland because southern was boring and i wanted to go home only after one day.

    This is so hard! I like them all so much based on alot of the scenery in these places, and the cultures too! I decided to choose Norway because I like the fjords, and the northern lights, and those shortened subarctic days, I think I would certainly like to go someday.

    Denmark all the way - Freetown Christiania in the summer is the best place on earth and Danish people are SO COOL!!! But Finland is pretty awesome too. <3 Moomin

    Ireland coz no place like home.

    Have travelled a lot but always glad to get home!

    We can predict the weather every day - it will be nice between the rain showers.

    France is lovely, but my brother has been to Switzerland and says that it's great there too! I really want to visit Germany though.

    The UK is rainy and a bit boring, but hey: us Brits like to complain, so it's all good!

    (And yes, I do know that Britain and the UK are not the same! But 'Brits' has a ring to it and there's no standard name for people from the UK) :D

    I don't understand why Norway got barely any votes. People are rich and happy there, they are paid gorgeously, the country itself has some of the most stunning and breath-taking views of all time, the language is lovely, the people are beautiful, and... they have the best black metal of all time.

    Well, I live in finland, so I'm quite okay with that.

    I would still like to live in the UK, because of their rather wonderful accent. ;D but I'll be voting for finland.
