Out of your options, love. But not in the romantic sense... I have a powerful, almost painful love for the human race, for the goodness and acts of beauty and kindness that we are capable of, a love for the noblest traits of mankind if you will. My own love life has been a rollercoaster recently but it's this greater, universal love that keeps me grounded, keeps me hopeful...
If we're going to go obscure here...
sonder
n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
Edited to copypasta from the source because the full definition is much more poetic.
Yes.
I've felt this way since I was 14.
I feel like every interaction with a human is an amazing experience, and that I am lucky to enter that person's life, even just for a moment. To encounter a new life is an honor, in my opinion. To play a role in their existence and their perception of all that is life...
Sorry, now I'm just getting pretentious.
Not at all. I try to avoid blanket statements... but I think, in the end, we truly live for those moments of connection, even the fleeting ones... everything is temporal in the end, what matters is what you felt. Even tiny moments like a shared joke with a passing stranger can become a sort of balm for the soul... I know some would disagree but for me that connection is like breathing, to be away from people too long puts me off balance, disoriented. Probably why I've been a little out of sorts this spring break. XD
Everyone knows this, everyone thinks this, it's common sense, and love is not the only emotion that could come of it.
The window is lit at dusk.
“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
― John Lennon
Hello,
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone home?
Come on
Now
I hear you're feeling down
I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again
Relax
I'll need some information first
Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts?
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move
But I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like
Two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain
You would not understand
This is not how I am
I... Have become comfortably numb
O.K.
Just a little pin prick
There'll be no more aaaaaaaah!
But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working
Good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on
It's time to go
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move
But I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone
I... Have become comfortably numb
Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb"
My favorite feeling ever is contentedness.
Being totally satisfied with everything, not excited or exhausted, not happy or upset, not bothered by anything. Totally relaxed, silent, alone, comfortable with myself and my surroundings, with some calm music playing, no negative feelings keeping me from doing anything.
Just living, contently. It's perfect.
Excitment. I've ordered many items on amazon and been really exited for them to arrive only to rarely if ever use them
I don't really like these options, but I'll just go with happy, since that was my answer anyway. Happiness is good:).
I picked Happiness. It's my favorite because, unlike some other positive emotions like love, it can never hurt anyone. And happiness is static. It's always there beside you. you just have to acknowledge it.
"I wonder what happiness could look like if we could give it a form?
The Shape of happiness might resemble glass.
Even though you don't usually notice it, it's still definitely there...
You merely have to change your Point of View slightly...
and that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light...
I doubt that anything could argue its existence more eloquently."
- Lelouch Lamperouge
Mine is when everything is hilarious, I love laughter and joking about dirty things and stupid silly jokes that is when I am at my happiest but the thing is this state emotion is hard to come by. I'm usually numb and I don't like it.
I had an answer, but I can't remember what the exact word is. If I remember correctly (and I might well not remember correctly), it meant a very strong but temporary feeling of love; "honeymoon period" love. That's a heck of a good emotion. I used it in an IIN profile once, after I stumbled across it online, but I can't for the life of my remember what the word was. (Hint: it's not infatuation.)
The euphoria you get when you're listening to a piece of music that is perfect, and describes where you are perfectly.
