If you don't try you can't fail, but if you don't fail you can't say you tried. It's better to try and fail, then not try at all.
Woah tongue twister.
Failing is great! It's almost as good as success :P Failing means you can learn what to do better next time. Failure gives you closure so you might move on. Failure tells you where your limits are. Failure isn't safe and boring.
Well not trying. If you fail, at least you try and you learn from mistakes.
Never trying gives some form of hope that you will succeed, failing however would feel pretty shit.
Depends on the consequences of failing. Sometimes taking a risk can be great; if you fail at least you saw how far you could go and you can learn how to do the task better next time. However, sometimes failing can put you under crushing debt or just push to the brink of suicide. If it's minor stuff though, that will have no long term detrimental effects on your psyche or financial stability, then yes I think it's good to attempt something and fail at it than to not even have attempted it at all.
