Which is worse: beating or cheating?

Well, beating is definatly horrible. It hurts physically and emotionally and mentally. Cheating is terrible. It hurts mentally and emotionally. I'd have to say I'd rather be cheated on than beaten. If he cheated, I'd screw someone then leave him. If he beat me, I'd have to kill him in his sleep

There's a reason abusers go to jail..not so for cheaters.

Sure, if someone cheats on you, it feels like hell. But if you're getting slapped around like a ragdoll, you're actually FEELING hell. You feel the hits and the bruises and cuts and how that person who you thought loved you looks when they are wailing on you.
Sometimes, if a person isn't careful, they could beat you to DEATH!!!!
I think I'd rather be cheated on then die because some ass hole couldn't keep his temper in check.

It all comes down to what type of person you are. I had a really bad string of boyfriends and so actually feel qualified to answer this question. One beat me and one cheated. Personally I found being with an abusive person easie to leave.

When the guy you love comes crying begging you to forgive them and you have external bruises it reminds you exactly why you shouldn't. If they say that they were drunk and didn't mean to cheat and that they will never ever do it again and 'will you marry them?' it confuses things much more.

I left both and now, am aged 23 and getting married to a wonderful man next year.

Beating is beyond worse.. You can deal with cheating and get over it. There is NO question about which one is worse. Being beaten likely leads the woman to state of mind MUCH WORSE than what cheating will lead you to. With cheating, the girl is probably going to BEAT YOUR ASS, but when she's the one getting beaten physically she becomes a different person and it's so difficult to come back from that place.

i would think beating would be worse, even though they're both pretty bad. not that i would let my boyfriend or husband if i had one beat me though, they'd be on the fucking ground half dead before they could lay a finger on me

If my girlfriend beat me, I would beat her back. If my girlfriend cheated on me, I would kill her, chop her head off, and hang it in the flagpole. So I guess I find cheating worst.

Usually it's easier for a woman to leave a guy who cheated on her and it is if they beat them. But I don't really know which is worse. I kind of think they're both equally terrible.

beating, I assume you mean beating your meat,not your girl, and who dont do that?

Both are horrible, however beating is the worse since it combines both physical and emotional abuse.

oops i misenterpreted, I read beating as beating off, beating is much worse because the girl/wife has proof that you beat her. HA shouldn't offer my opinion while drunk.

In bad cases, i've heard that they get married and stuff and they beat their kids......

cheating is a betrayl .... its the worst thing anyone can do in my opinion ... if a guy hits you it could be for many reasons like anger problem and lack of controle .. if he cheats on you he's riped your heart out ..... many people vote beating is worse simply because they have cheeted and dont want to admit how deeply wrong it is.

when you get cheated u honestly feel bad and there is something wrong with you but the think is that when you get beat its better because next time you think before doing something bad its really helpfull i use to get beat but not that hard so everytime i did something bad i would get scared

cheating is pretty bad. it means you don't care about the person.
being beat up... maybe in the mans family or tradition it was acceptable.
so i think cheating would cause more problems...
