Which is better, being a only child or sibling?

I'm happy to be an only child. I needed a LOT of help as a kid, and I'm really happy I didn't have to share my mom with a sibling.

I have two brothers who I let live so I dunno. I think I would have liked being an only child growing up but then again part of who I am today is the result of having an asshole older brother who is no longer an asshole.

I don't know. Its not necessarily better one way or the other there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Im an only child and though I always got all the attention and some other small benefits(more gifts on holidays? I still have my mom help out with things like watching my kid) I definitely wish I had someone to go shopping with like a sister...I was kind of solitary growing up which taught me to be independent but I feel weird that my kid doesn't have any aunts or uncles on my side.
I know only children who are very lonely and I know siblings who really don't like each other so I guess each case is unique.

I have had a sister, she was my best friend. She was a year and 4 days older than me. she died when she was 13 so i would say having a sibling is cool. but if i grew up with out i prob would have a different comment.

Since I have two brothers, I would definaltley say, having a sibling is much better. My brother is my best friend too. We talk on the phone everyday. I think it would be very lonley to be the only child.

Difficult to say since no one can experience both in one lifetime, at least not fully. I'm kind of a different story because I have a half brother out there somewhere, but I'm adopted and have felt really weird about trying to make contact since they had wanted it to be closed. It kinda hurts sometimes though, especially when my bf goes on and on about his bro and all the good times they had and how close they are... ._.

It would be cool to have a sister or brother. I've been feeling very lonely. And jealous of people with tight bonds with their siblings. :/

I like having an older brother, cause frankly, I'm too weird and it's cool to have someone who you can talk to about stuff.
