I know that there is a broad generalization here. Not asking who you personally are nicest to, but how you think the world works.
Sorry to all people who don't fall into these genders. I left "other" for all other genders. There are so many genders I just used the two most common.

I think nice means different things in males and females. We're raised and socialized differently. What is a nice man? What is a nice lady? What impact do the differing nice qualities have?
There are no other genders besides male and female. Don't fall for that bullshit propaganda you see on tv.
I think it depends on the individuals involved more so than the actual gender.
Males to females.
My reasoning:
Most males I know of would beat the living daylights out of another male before they'd get violent toward a female, even in self-defense.
For many reasons, some good and some stupid, females tend to become very guarded when male strangers speak to them. It's more socially acceptable for females to "be mean" to males than the other way around in many areas.
Anyone who has ever been outside should be fully aware of how fucking horrible females can be to each other. There are a lot of females out there who are the total opposite of this but...
In general, I feel like males are nicer to females more so than anything else here. I've read studies regarding male tendencies to protect women before protecting other men which might be a possible explanation along with a shit ton of others that I don't feel like explaining right now because this is already a long post now.
It's all weak, anecdotal bullshit but that's how I feel.
Men to Women, due to sex, companionship, and the subconscious desire to procreate.
Interesting so far in that the comments are heavy in Male to Female but the voting is heavily Female to Male.
What do you mean there's so many genders? There's only two: males and females. There are males who want to be female and vice versa, but they are using the two genders as a point of reference.
