It gets kinda old, but at the same time, they come up with new ways to kill people. How many times can you tell the exact same story over and over again. I hope there is not a sixth, but I would watch it, same reason I watched all the SAW movies, I'm into that kind of stuff.
I liked the saw movies as well. However they got boring when they made 4. I believe they had seven if I am correct. I really liked the original 3 saw movies. When they made four the characters were really bland, the traps are not as challenging, and the deaths are just not that fun to watch. I have the complete set of saw though. Not sure where I put it though.
I agree. I don't really remember most of them, but I rewatched the second half of one of last ones recently (VI i think), I liked how jigsaw wanted everyone in the game to make it to the last trap/puzzle, but they all decided that the only way to get thru was to kill one or two people on each trap. And then the final one was where there was six empty jars (one for each original person), and they had to fill them with blood but they only had 2 people left, so either one person drained all their blood to fill them, or they both drained half and risked dying.
first one was the best by far. and so original at the time. The third one was just stupid and too clicheed. Creating it's own sub-genre of bullshit/
I like 2 best. 1 was pretty good too but 2 was WAY more graphic.
Part 3 and beyond I don't even really remember much at all. 3 was kinda lame so after being disappointed by part 3 I only watched them for the death scenes which also got pretty stupid.
If they made another, I might watch it but I wouldn't pay money to see it.
All of them are out on dvd. In fact you could get movies 1-4 in a pac set. They are not that expensive. My favorite was number 4 and I wont tell you the entire story but it starts at a race track.
I actually just watched part 1 last night on HBO...2 was the car accident with the log truck (which I liked) and 3 was the roller coaster, 4 was the race car and 5 was the suspension bridge. 5 was definitely my least favorite, in fact it really fucking sucked!
I have a couple of them on DVD, I know I have part 3 but I don't remember which other ones I have. I love horror films so I generally watch every one that comes out regardless of how shit I think it will be.
I agree with you. When I watched number five I was very let down. For one you could tell they made it to be 3D so that looked fake. They checked the facts on it and found out some of those scenes are not actually possible. The exploding tanning bed was always something I imagined happening which happened in number two. I also hate that they made the 5th hint so predictable. You cut your finger and hear dust in the wind. It was too obvious. The hints in the other movies were very suddle. The deaths in the 5th are also a very large stretch. How do you not die from a fan, electrocution, or stepping on a nail and hurting yourself but by some miracle a girl steps on the nail, nocks over the powder and messes up your performance and you snap in half. That was ridiculous.
Yeah when that one guy fell off the bridge in part 5, it looked like a cartoon! He was like ...splat...but it was so fake, it looked like someone drew the splat wit a marker, it didn't look like real blood at all. Plus part 5 was pretty boring with the story part too.
But man, I love part 2 where the log flies through the cop car!! I love that whole beginning part, it's so bloody and detailed and long! If part one had been that detailed and long I would like it just the same. I really think they perfected the movie in part 2.
I liked 3 because it was a coaster and I just like watching coasters. I think number four was the most realistic out of all of them. Number one seemed more like it was trying to be supernatural. Which was not as much fun. Number two was very graphic and was a good movie. Number two I think was the darkest of all the movies. You could just feel it when you popped the movie into the player. I really liked two but my favorite is still 4. I was really hoping for a sixth but given 5 was really a prequel and tied in all the movies I am not sure that they would. Would you watch if they made a 6th?
I watched the first three I don't know how many times but more than I can count. They're not exactly what I would call "movie quality" but they are definitely enertaining. With the cheesy death scenes and fun, creative ways to kill people. I hated teh 4th and 5th one though. I think they tried too hard on those two.
Ha! They are cheesy. But I love them all the same. I think I watch them because they are cheesy as a matter of fact, but they are always fun to look at. I've seen the first three at least 15 times.
Well the special effects look like a "toad with a chode" and it isnt "real" enough why dont they make more natural deaths? like mabye Chuck Norris getting pissed off at you or somthing.
