    That is not a fair comparison!! :P Titanic is based on a true story..but at the same time the crossed lovers was false of course but Avatar was of course fictional and interesting and FULL OF COLOR!! I love both..I cant compare but I must say Titanic to me..hands down

    Titanic had a bigger impact. I just think Avatar was so popular because of the time we live in today. It caters to a much younger audience with cgi, special effects, and epic fight scenes. Titanic hands down.

        Both these movies were complete shit. Titanic was horribly boring and they do not really know how to suck you into the moment. A good movie has an audience involved in the story I was snoring. The second hit the falling action too quick and should have ended like an hour earlier than it did. The resolution should not come over 10 minutes before the movie ends. If you have more than half an hour left after the resolution was reached the audience is going to stop watching. They also did this in the show "Death-note" where they kill the main guy that the killer(Kira) was trying to defeat about 10 episodes too early. When what you were watching for was to see if Kira kills L or if L catches him first.

    Excellent question!!! I found it hard to decide but I ended up choosing Titanic because it emotionally moved me unlike Avatar. I cried like a bitch when I saw the credits and im a guy!

    James Cameron has his heart in the right place. It's difficult to criticise because he could so easily be the bad guy, and he isn't. His films are often trite and measured for widespread appeal, but he actually cares. I wanted to respond with anger to two overblown epics, but then I remembered Terminator 2, and The Abyss. If he continues to make people aware of humanity and the environment, I'm happy to support him in that. He makes bad films now, but he's a good man.

    Why did you even give people an "other" option? Your question was to choose between two films. Obviously, people are going to have their own favourite movies. If you wanted people to be able to say they liked neither or both, then put those as options, otherwise, people are just going to pick "other" if they prefer any movie at all to Titanic or Avatar, and that muddies your results.

    Very hard. But I went with avatar just because it was so action packed and it was a little sad at some poins. I don't really like movies that make me cry, though I did enjoy the titanic:)

    Ugh... both were the most vomit inducing waste of time. James Cameron should stop making movies. He had a few decent/fun films, but he's polluting the cinema more than BP polutes the ocean.
