Elizabeth Taylor had purplish eyes. They were blue but they sometimes looked violet.
Green eyes are by far the rarest eye color on earth at only 3% of the population.
Purple and grey are not "eye colors" they are both considered genetic blue, grey being VERY common.

For instance, where I live dark brown seems to be the most common eye colour. It's rare that I've seen people with blue or green eyes. The rarest would have to be grey. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a person with grey eyes.
Your eyes may change slightly due to stress or emotion, but they still always have a "base" colour.
My eyes go greyish when I'm mad or sick, but that is temporary, they are green most of the time.
If you're born with grey eyes it's just listed as blue, it's just a shade of blue. Just like how some green eyes have a yellowish tinge and others don't.

Grey eyes are actually very common, although they are mistaken for blue all the time. I for example have grey eyes, although alot of the time they tend to look blue until you really look closely at them.
I have only seen a few people with green eyes.

Light blue really is hard to differentiate with light grey.
I guess it could also be where a person lives. Most of the people I've seen have dark brown eyes. My eyes are brown, but to me they look black. It's a bit rare that I see people with blue or green eyes and if I do then it's usually in the light spectrum. A friend of mine has light green eyes that look grey. So, lighting must also play a part.
I don't care what color they are. I just like to see happy sparkling eyes!
Any color that is on the darker side. Light, pale blue is probably my least favorite. It just seems vacant and cold to me. No offense to anyone! I'm sure your eyes are lovely. :)

Blue eyes are the prettiest, to me. But I love looking at amber eyes too. And no, they're not just light brown but have an actual amber color.
I have brown eyes.. They are a dark brown and nothing special :/ But I wish I had blue eyes.
I voted hazel because my eyes are hazel and I knew nobody else was going to vote for it!
I don't like blue eyes on girls, they seem cold. but on guys they seem soft.
Why do people like blue eyes do much? I don't see what's so special about them. I love hazel because you get two colors.

Whatever works with his/her face. I can't really say I always choose one eye color over another. If you look good & can flaunt a certain feature, so be it. :)
I had pitch-black eyes as a child, but they slowly started turning a lighter shade of hazel as I hit puberty. Now they're approaching green. Luckily I love green eyes, but I think any color can look great on the right person.
The fact that your eyes changed colour has really surprised me as I didn't think they could. I know all babies are born with dark blue eyes and they develope over time. But to actually change colour I find amazing. You certainly do learn something new everyday. x
I like green eyes but they're so uncommon, so I picked blue. Brown is just so common, nothing special about them.
Dark green . My eyes are green and brown and everyone is always telling me how beautiful they are . And I actually really do LOVVE green eyes , and it just so happens I have them!! . And I dislike blue eyes a lot . No offense to anyone with blue eyes .
