Well you also can't assume an entire country doesn't say eh just because you don't.
I'm Canadian and I say eh and most people I know do as well. It's just the misconception of saying eh after every single sentence, it more just when you want to turn a statement into a question, like 'It's a nice day out' to 'It's a nice day out eh?'
Worry not, canadians, I know not every Canadian says eh, I was only joking. Not about my friend though, she does say eh ;)
I also say eh and from Canada. Although it mostly the Eskimos and french is thst say eh

A Canadian will say to a yank "you guys say huh alot eh"
And the America will say to the canuck " you guys say eh alot huh"
America is very beautiful and has so much to see. The landscape and climate is so vastly different, Canada just doesn't compare in that regard. Traveling even just 50 miles or so in the US can be like going to a different country, which I love.
I can't comment much on the people of Canada, but from what little I have seen, it seems they have their shit together a lot more than we do. Seem to have a lot less problems and seem better educated.
I don't know. I've always have the impression that Canada is this laid-back country, while America is the hyperactive country. Both have it's good and bad points.

I love the US, but I hate the police there. Not that I've been arrested or anything...but they just think they're the shit.

I like both countries, but Australia is pretty much a mini-America now, so I'd rather go see Canada.
Well you were in Detroit which is a horrible place and not hardly representative of the whole US.
I went to Niagra Falls once and went to the Canada side and it reeked-REEKED I tell you- of urine but I don't assume all of Canada is a toilet. It was also very boring for being a tourist area, there were no restaurants of mass appeal and only crappy gift shops. I don't know how it is now but I was kind of shocked at the lack of enterprise then. I found it quite strange considering it must be among, if not THE, top draw to Canada.
You should visit British Columbia (BC) because we have rainforests, deserts,warm & clean lakes, the Rockies, and the mildest temperatures in all of Canada. Plus, we are the fittest of all Canadians because we LOVE to get outdoors. If you do ever get the chance, don't stay the whole time in Vancouver because it's not really a fair representation of the rest of BC.

I went to the Canadian side of niagera falls and it was much more beautiful. Waterfalls don't smell like flowers. The American side smelled the same.
