Is this in relation to some situation/story relevant to you, e.g., something about someone you know, or is it in relation to knowledge of the world?

If it is about knowledge of the world, I don't think that knowing everything is a good thing. Knowledge is not necessarily a good thing, it may not make your life better.

If it in the context of having to make some sort of judgment, then knowing all the relevant details is generally best.

Did you mean "than* misinformed by others"?

I think it's best to know some things but not everything. There must always be something to learn. Not knowing everything promotes friendship, reasoning, and empathy.

Sometimes ignorance is healthy and can protect us but too much is bad. I would say under certain circumstances, ignorance is a necessity but under most it is not.

I would want to know everything if someone were telling me something, it's better to have the whole truth than a half truth.

Idk I think only telling part of a story leaves a lot for the reader to make up whether or not it's true. For some people I think they need to have that closure so they can really finish the book. If not they just keep rereading the same chapters over and over.
