Just another reason to love you, dappled. Is chandler a lot like you? If so, you're awesome. I love a guy with humor, and a sweet side too. :)
He's scarily like me even down to the job he does. I think the major difference is that my dad doesn't dress as a woman. Well, not that I know of. It'd look daft anyway. He has a moustache. :)
LOL. Good to have you back, dappled. And yes, I am sure we can all be glad not to have a dad that looks like Kathleen Turner. :) That's interesting that you and Chandler have similar jobs and everything...you must indeed be pretty awesome!
Awe I was just watching the show and thought this would be a better poll than "should i get my belly button pierced" or whatever but epic fail.
i love friends! its one of the rare shows where you can watch it over and over again =D
Seinfeld was the dumbest show ever...the diner for a scene if that and Jerry's apartment, at least the F.r.i.e.n.d.s went to the coffee shop, each others apts, trips ect.
Seinfeld was a fail...glad that shit's over.
I wildly disagree. Although I could watch Friends, it'll never hold a candle to Seinfeld. Maybe you haven't seen enough Seinfeld, or maybe the humour was beyond you. Either way, since you seem to think that the sets a sitcom uses bears relevance to whether or not it's a quality show, I don't value your opinion at all. It's all about the writing, girl!
Although I'm a guy, personality-wise, I relate the most to Rachel and Monica. I'm closer to Rachel, but with some people I act kind of persnickety and critical like Monica, though she's a tad neurotic to suit my personality. None of the guys are anything like me. I'm a little witty like Chandler, but I'm not the wheeler-dealer type like he seems to be. I like acting, but I'm not an airhead like Joey. I'm also a little nerdy, but I hardly ever agreed with any of Ross' opinions/reactions on the show. Oddly, I find both he and Chandler to be a bit defensive/macho. So, out of the three, I'd pick Joey if I had to pick a guy to relate to. As for Phoebe, besides a love of nature and having a quirky and eclectic taste, I'm not nearly as eccentric as she is. Is anybody?
I picked Rachel because she's sort of always playing the sympathy card and ends up coming off the victim. She's also wealthier than her friends. I often felt like the spoiled brat when I was kid, or at least, that's how I imagined my friends saw me. I like how Rachel tends to pluck up some courage in a crisis and take on a leadership role. She's more adventurous and opinionated than people first think. She's also way smarter than she looks despite coming off a little socially naive at times. That's just like me.
Is anybody else a "sensitive-bossy" type? A Rachel-Monica?
i think i'm a bit of a mix between Phoebe and Chandler. I, like Chandler enjoy joking around and having a laugh(especially sarcasm) and like early series Chandler (before he got with Monica) i consider myself very emotionally closed off, but my friends and family say that i am very cooky, a bit crazy and eccentric, like Pheobe, also when i'm bored i sing to myself and make up strange little songs (though i can't play guitar) Phoebe has 'smelly cat' and I have 'have you seen my Goat'
What a "big" surprise, majority of people on this site can relate to either Chandler "socially inept and defensively sarcastic/humorous" and Phoebe "all around strange and random"..
this is a site called IIN...do you expect most to relate to Ross and Gunther...ok even Gunthers a fricken weirdo and don't get me started on the hair, Oy Vey!
Rachel. I may not be a huge Jennifer Anniston fan, but I love her character here. (Besides, she was a lot cuter when she was younger) I am the young, inexperienced girl, who makes lots of mistakes, and is never quite sure what she ought to do. I am finding my independent, adult self though, slowly but surely. Great poll, OP!
