    A small house sounds nice. I like to be outdoors a lot so having my own yard would be ideal =]

    Small apartment or house with everything I need in it. Also a fast internet connection.

    Damn I want to move out of my parents' house.

    I do live on my own in a largish apartment in the heart of the city. Everything is within walking distance. When I eventually retire (if I live that long), I'd want a small cottage by the sea.

    I don't live on my own and I hope I never have to. I share my home with my husband, a good friend, pets, and the ocassional stray hippy. As long as there is room to work on projects and be alone with a full house, I'm good. And there must be a garden.

      hmm, so having a family is better? I agree but I doubt anyone would want to start a family with me

        Family can mean many things. I didn't choose to start a family, it just happened. And I'm sure it will change, but it will never end.

    I don't want to have to mow my own lawn, but I do want to actually own my own place.... so a condo would suit me. It doesn't have to be really big either.

    So, I picked "small apartment," but I would have to own it and not rent it.

    Aw come on, people. Would you REALLY choose a small, cozy house over a HUGE apartment with everything? Ofcourse the HUGE apartment is cozy, too...

    If I were living on my own now, I would say a small apartment; easy to maintain, plus probably the best for someone single. When I'm older probably a nice house with a pool and a hot tub, all the good stuff.
