  • "A crumb eaten in peace is better than a steak eaten in strife"

I'd live wherever I felt happiest.

    • Wow such wisdom.

      If you had said:

      Confucius say....

      It would have been perfect!!!

      • I was actually paraphrasing from the book of Proverbs in the Bible. But it is brilliant, isn't it?

I wish it was my phrase :(

The "other" option kind of defeats the purpose....

But anyway, by saying that we love one place and hate the other, the OP kind of chose for us.

  • I would like to live in Hawaii if my friends could come with me.

    Currently I live in Alabama.

I would NEVER freaking live in the city, or anywhere where there was barely anything green.

I used to live in a county that hasn't had a farm since 1912. Downtown is about 0.01 square miles of park and 1.5 square miles of skyscrapers. The train station has a 800 foot skyscraper over it and the other train station has an arena over it and the post office is 1/80th of a square mile and used to be open 24/7/355.

*sighs* I picked that I would rather live in a place I hate because I'm already living in a place I hate. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and I hate the desert and the whole über douche Sin City thing! I only live here to be near my family. I'm already poor so WTF I would to at least be rich in this hell hole. Of course once I'm rich the first thing I would do is go on vacation to a tropical paradise since the question doesn't mention anything about whether or not I can go on vacation. Also when I get back to Las Vegas I would help the Catholic radio station here move from the AM to the FM band cause that's expensive. Then I would like to work with charities to help AIDS patients, unwed mothers, homeless animals, etc. But, whenever I get the time I would go on a tropical vacation for a week or two. And since I would live in the lap of luxury I would always charter a private plane so my Siamese cat would never have to ride in cargo. I hate it in Las Vegas but they know how to do luxury so my cat and I would make it work in a big mansion for us and whatever we could do for the rest of our family. My sister has a Toy Poodle who's my cat's good pal and I figure the four of us could throw posh banquets and galas to raise money for our favorite charities. We would eat Sushi every night, my feline best friend and I. Yeah we could make it tolerable. ;)

  • id like to move to Huntington beach, CA (south of L.A. and rite under long beach) the weather is perfect, not too hot nor too cold but sorta pricy, i just love the whole boating/living by the water life style. If i could i'd move there in preferably a smaller house/condo(for me only) a fun sports car and a cool boat-like a supra(boat) but if i didnt live on 1 of those canal things i guess id have to get a truck and a boat (to tow the boat)

Since I left home, I have always had plenty of luxuries but have never felt at home in my big houses by the sea. So without hesitation I said 'poor in somewhere I love'. I feel as though I have a life of leisure but no 'home' and a house is only to keep me warm and dry - regardless of its value, it's only bricks.

I hope some day to find a 'home'.

    :o(

  • Depends on how poor, but if I was happy, then I'd be fine with being poor.

I understand this is hypothetical, but I still find it hard to answer. If I was rich what would be stopping me from moving to live somewhere I love anyway?

    • didn't say you were rich, your job in the country you hate pays more therefore you can live an easy life.

in the other country that you love you can not have such a job and nothing pays as much there so you are forced to live much poorer.

btw, this is not hypothetical to me, its very real.

my favorite vacation spot is Ocean City, Maryland. but if i moved it would probably be somewhere with no snowy winters. driving in it irritates me greatly.

I'd love to live by the beach with Captain Morgan by my side. A 2 room house with a bathroom and bedroom is all I'd need. Idc about luxuries as long as I have the beach and captains. :D
