Where u want to live

i think younger people tend to want to live near the beach and older people like in the mountains or out in the country or sumthing. I personally want to live Huntington beach, CA although it is outragisly(spelling?) expensive but if i could be no more than 10miles away from the beach and have like an apartmant with like a boat and a truck i'd be set for life practiclly haha, your turn-???

BEACH ALL THE WAY!!! 22
near a lake for boating etc. 9
mountains baby 12

Both. Ideally, I'd like to live in view of both the mountains and the beach, but that's unlikely to happen unless I move back to Japan. Barring that, just any sort of natural beauty will do. Mountains, ocean, lake shore, forest, hills, whatever-- as long as it's pretty and not too crowded. I'm sick of the city, but I'd rather not live in the middle of nowhere again, either.

I like that i live near the beach because the weather is great but fuck I'm kind of tired of LA. I want to live in Germany or somewhere in Europe like Spain.

In the forest, or up on a mountain with trees.

In a modest house with sun-lights and solar panels.

A place in nature which is spiritually fulfilling.

I lived in Florida for 4 months at the start of the year and I was literally a 2min drive from the beach.
I want to go back to that. Now that I live in NC I'm 4+ hours away. I want to kill myself.

I rather like where I live right now (Gloucestershire, England). You can look out one window and see lovely countryside, and the other and see into town. You can sit in fields and woods and feel like you are 100s of miles from civilisation. Then you can walk 10 minutes and pick up some groceries and hang out with friends. It is literally the best of both worlds.

Doesn't come cheap though, and when I move out I'll probably leave the area entirely :(

    In a suburb of Japan.
Somewhere mountainous and receives a fair amount of rain.

  • Somewhere deep in the mountains where it's always spring.

I think it varies according to country. I was born in a town, lived in a suburb and now have moved right into the heart of the city. As I get older, I'll probably drift back to suburbia, then a small town, and finally somewhere by the sea for retirement.

I think I'd rather live in a small village/town that wasn't too far from a city.

One of the most important things for me is a RELIABLE and FAST internet connection. I live in the middle of nowhere right now and the internet is terrible (1MB/s max).

      • I am envious! Have a great time. Yes I will definitely be there in spirit :) One year I'll be there in the flesh again. I doubt Sydney will have anything great to offer. I'll just have to wait and see...

Aww, Sydney looks great to me, but I wouldn't want to be away from home for a whole year. It must be tough. :/

          • Yeah it is kinda. I'm not close to my family. I do miss my friends but I have friends here too. It's more the fact that Oz is way different than you ever imagined and it's no where near as good as you think (if you think that at all!)It's a tough choice of living somewhere you don't particularly like but earning a lot of money to get set up and start a family or living somewhere you love but being broke for as long as you can see. If England picks up anytime soon I'll come home. I will in a few years though anyway. Hmm...

England is crapper than you left it. I earn a decent wage but I'm spending every penny of it just staying alive. A hundred quid a month just for electricity? I live alone and never have the heating on. My broadband has been a hundred quid the last two months too because they said I downloaded more than 5Gb. It's awful here. Maybe I'll come and join you down under for a while.
