I am young and want to do a year before I go to University. Assuming we don't have a pandemic, where should I go to find myself?

None. They are objectively shitty places to live and have high rates of disease.
Try Mongolia, good views, decent enough people, see how cashmere is produced.
I think more than ever now, a gap year is smart. I appreciate your opinion though.
A gap year has a ton of value, it can expose me to maybe more that a campus will?
I don't have any specific friends from High School that are going to the college I will go to, I wont be late to anywhere
I have family that lived in London and just moved back to Tennessee. They didnt like how London had become.
You have to consider alot of things when making your decision, like what language the people speak, jobs and etc. Id personally choose Ireland. Same language and they seem tough
