Since I enjoy looking for the graves of famous people I thought I would ask if anyone knew where to find the most historic people and their resting places.
The best one I have ever seen was in Paris. Jim Morrison's was covered with cigarettes and condoms etc. So much stuff they have a gate around it now. I threw a cigarette on for good measure. Oscar Wilde's had a statue of a naked male angel. Some vandal broke the penis off though. Also it was totally covered with lipstick kisses. Including mine (I borrowed the lipstick just to clarify).
Military base. All those people who died at war. Not like the whole country is unaware of the people dying.
I guess it kinda depends on who or what you consider "famous". I would imagine that the Vatican grave yard has more "famous" people (Popes) than any other.
I went to one in Gibraltar, where the British sailors from the battle of Trafalgar are buried and it was fascinating for me (I love reading about the old sea battles fought under sail) to read their names, the ships they were on and their ranks.
Why the hell do you want to visit graves? There is an open one in Moscow with Lenin in it, you even can see the cop if you are so keen!!!
Golgotha, a hill outside the walls of Jerusalem. Whether he existed or not, he was famous people. Many Facebook likes! Many thumbs up! Many people talking stupidly and not having the first clue about anything! [sic] I know it's persons and also that he is just one.
OK, this would have been acceptable if the question was IIN that I want to visit the graves of famous people. This isn't Yahoo answers people!
