I'll be honest, my first thought was for the Chinese people I know personally (because Chinese people in China aren't an experience I've had first-hand and my opinion comes from things like talking with a part-Chinese IIN user who moved to China and so had experienced both my culture and was, even then, getting used to Chinese culture. What she said was very interesting but it's not enough for me to speak with any authority).

I've had Chinese friends since school and have worked very closely for long periods with six Chinese people with differing levels of Westernisation. All but one (the most Westernised) was more than happy to talk about their culture. If I'm talking about Chinese people, they're usually my reference point even though they're not representative of the majority of Chinese people.

We are actually a very diverse people. While we all can be labeled as "Chinese", we have our own unique identities. We are actually more diverse then the Japanese and Koreans, whom are very homogenous.

People like me. I'm not trying to be.super PC here, it's the first thing I think of because I tend to divide cultures into ones with core values similar enough to my own that there is no problem and people with core values dissimilar enough to be a problem.

Many Caucasoid & Other people do not understand that "Chinese" is not a people. The majority of the population in the current People's Republic of China are of the 'Han' tribe, who's ancestry is from predominantly the Yellow and Yangtze River basins. There is, however, a sizable minority of various distinct ethno-linguistic groups within the aforementioned country.
"China" is a political entity, not a people.
It would be like calling a person who is an inhabitant of the USA a United States of Americean.
