It honestly really boils down to who it really is. If you dont like that person that much you shouldn't be fake about it, and be nice to their face. That's kind of dumb. If you are friends with them or you do know, and you are on good terms then dont be shy say hi. Maybe you will end up being really good friends in the end. Thats always my favorite :)
Follow them home and watch them as the sleep...so unknowingly...so........vunerable. Then I shit in their kettle.

I'm kind of shy, so if I see someone from my school that I don't know that well, I usually pretend I don't see them, but secretly hope they'll come up and say hi. If they are a closer friend than I go and say hi no problem.
I often hide from them because... I don't really know why. It's just my natural reaction.
1. Eyes widen slightly
2. Look down
3. Walk/Run pass them, pretending I didn't see them
4. Breathe out a sigh of relief
Depends on my mood and who it is.
If I'm feeling social and I like the person - awkward wave and embarrass them.
Feel antisocial and like them - casual wave and calm conversation.
Feeling social and do not like them - acknowledge if they do first, otherwise smile and walk on by
Antisocial and do not like them - plastic smile and a "Hey!" that really means "Fuck off!"
depends on who it is and if i see who then i just say nothing because i mostly only know morons
depends on who it is, sometimes i pretend i don't see the person but since i am shy i mostly never walk up to them and say hi. i wait for them to say hi or wave first. I wish i was more confident ):
i used to always go up to them, say hi, and strike up a chat, but it never got me anywhere and I always left the scene thinking "oh..now I remember why I lost contact with that person in the first place!" one reason a hate facebook too.
I despise running into people I know even if I like them (unless its a really close friend). it sucks because I live in a small town so it happens all the time.
I just say hey what's up dude? Nice to see you around. Or if it's someone I dislike then I ignore them and hide :c
this might sound awful, but if i look like crap i usually want to say hi to anyone i recognize...
If it's someone I know and like, I say "hi" and have a little chat. If it's just someone that I don't really relate to I just say "hey" and keep on walking.
well one time i said omg in front of them, then ran & left my friend there standing. why? idk. it was embarassing.
I completely agree w/ you. If I don't like someone and I see them from a distance, I just ignore them. There were a lot of people who never talked to me in school or just ignored me, so why should I be nice to them? Meanwhile, if it someone I haven't seen in a long time and I actually liked them, sure, I'd say hi.
