When you look in the mirror what emotion do you see?

When you look in the mirror before you start to think about how you feel what emotion do you see? For me I don't see an emotion anymore. I just see a blank expression. So what emotion do you see when you look in the mirror before you start thinking of how you feel?

I don't think I have ever looked in the mirror and felt angry. Usually I'm content, sometimes even joyful. But if I don't think about it, I hope to see love. Not narcissistic love, I mean an overall peaceful and genuine light. It's there most the time. Even behind the exhaustion, I know the remaining energy is fueled by love. Even the sadness is fueled by love.

  • Just an intense questioning gaze. Sometimes, when I look in a mirror I don't even recognize myself. The intensity of that initial gaze almost disturbs me at times. But then I crack a small smile and know it's just me. Weird, I know, but it happens.

That's what I was going to say...

Tired and broken. But not without hope. There is still hope. Also, a small touch of happiness. I don't know where it comes from, but it's there sometimes.

It's your mind telling you to move forward and to become more of a wise person. :) That is what hope is for, Rusty! Also gummy_jr.

Failures are learning opportunities; they are what push you further not put you behind. As a wise person gets wiser they have less fear and no regret. They forgive themselves and others quickly; negativity is a waste of time for them since they have a precious happy life to live. They live in the PRESENT and when they do look back at the past they see their past failures are what strengthen them. They also don't fear their future they PLAN their future so there won't be as many bumps. They are patient with life and take chances when it is right. If you don't take a chance then you are more likely not going to get where you want.

When I look at my past mistakes I actually smile and think about how they made me who I am. I'll never give up on being ME. I see so many good things I have done my failures and mistakes are nothing they have helped me a lot. And they still are helping me.

I hope this has helped you some Rusty. Plus gummy_jr. :)

Thank you sooo much :) it really did help. And I talked to a friend whom I haven't seen in nine mouths. He was more of a friend to me than I was and I never really bothered to acknowledge that. So finally I talked to him yesterday and thanked him from the bottom of my heart, and honestly it felt pretty great. It was a HUGE burden lifted.

What? I didn't even realise people "saw" emotions when they look in the mirror.

It depends, sometime I feel happy because I find myself handsome, sometimes I feel bad because I look so tired and ugly... sometimes I dream that I'm an actor and try to imagine which roles I would play, and how I would impersonate them, imagining how my face and body could possibly work like that.

Looking in the mirror is strange lately.. It has become this weird, disconnected skeleton of a person looking back at me. I appear distant and helpless.. Don't know what emotion that is though...

I've felt many different feelings when gazing into a mirror. Usually, when I take a short glance my face has the look of awkwardness, confusion, seriousness or being neutral. I get more expressive the longer I look into it. "Damn, I'm sexy" (It's a bit rare for me think this and often times when I do its a form of joke.) "Oh god! Why do I have to look like this?!" or "I wish I could wear a mask when going outside!" My most common reaction/feeling is: "Who is this person? Is... is that ME?! No, it can't be!!!" (Horror, anguish, sadness, occasionally freaked out.)

  • I see myself, sick.

I tell myself I will get better, I will take care of myself.

But I can't in some ways.

In some ways it's up to others. I wish it wasn't. But, I don't have the willpower. Example: I don't have the willpower to be unaffected... people can hurt my feelings. And when they do, I get emotionally sick.

    I am physically sick too.

Everyone should pray / wish for minimalist to get better! :)

It all depends on the emotion i had before i looked in the mirror, if i was angry i get really pissed of, i i was sad i get really sad, and if i was happy i just start laughing like a fucking idiot
