Mid to late 20s. I was diganosed with an endometrial precancer, which led to 13 months of nonstop, heavy bleeding. And I mean heavy. I was taking care of my disabled mom, what's a social life, I was alwaysnin my oncologist's office, or getting surgeries. I had 4 surgeries in 3 years.
In my Teens I was 18 and my 15 yr old sister was killed by a drunk driver.
My childhood/ early teens. Best thing I did was run away, and hitch hike across the country at 15.
Early 20s. I was on a really bad road. Thankfully things got better.
For me the real turning point was going back to education and chasing a decent career.
People think being poor is bad because you stress about money and can't go on nice holidays, but it goes way beyond that. Life with no money and no prospects was shitty for me because I felt like I had no choices. I was trapped.
Nearly died five years ago, due to an autoimmune reaction. Was ill for a whole year.
