You're all stupid, who think that it is cool to get drunk underage. When you get our of highschool and actually turn 21 maybe you will learn that its not "cool" to always talk about how drunk you are, actually it is much more acceptable to be able to socially drink and hold your alcohol...just a thought...

The first time I tried alcohol, I was probably about six. Just a taste of my dad's pint. It was horrific. I informed him that I would never drink that stuff as long as I lived and he assured me I would. I'll give him credit. He was spot on about that.

The first time I was utterly, steamingly drunk may also have been my last. I was either 18 or 19 (legal in this country) and, to this day, I don't know how close I came to seeing myself off. I had alcohol poisoning for five days and can assure you it's not what I'd call fun.

I know people are always going to drink and nothing would have stopped me experimenting. However, if I could go back in time and give myself some advice, it would be not to drink spirits until I understood that the full effects aren't immediate. In short, know your limits by testing them safely, rather than assuming that because you feel fine, you'll still feel fine in an hour.

thats so true cos at easter time, i bought a bottle of vodka and i just turned 18, so i kinda wanted to know what its like to get really drunk. that night i drank almost all of it in about 3 hours. i felt fine after about half, so i drank more, but about half an hour later i couldnt remember anything, i couldnt stand up, and i had a massive spew.

that memory haunts me whenever i see a bottle of vodka.

  • I've never even tried alcohol, and I don't have the desire to either, it's a bad habit if it's not used responsibly, both my parents drink and so I say good for them but for alcoholics I think they need some serious help, no offense intended

get ready for this one. my dad, a cop, let me get drunk at a family picnic. yep, i was trashed and puking everywhere while he laughed. I remember family members being shocked but i was so well conditioned to believe he's ALWAYS right, i didn't think anything of it. I remember stumbling into the family van and passing out. I think it was his own sick way of trying to make me swear off alcohol. nope. went on to be a massive partier and eventually an alcoholic in rehab.

I was 16. I'm not proud of it but that was in the '70 when being excessive was part of the culture. I lived in New Jersey and the drinking age was 18 at the time. But nobody cared and it was so easy to get. I lived near a college town and the liquor store cleerks were all college students. They damn sure didn't enforce the age requirement. Looking back my biggest reret is drinking and driving when I was a teenager because of the potential tragedy that I could have caused

I'm a beast, I drank for the first time when I was barely 13, later that year I pulled a Drew Berrymore and got drunk at a party by putting almost empty alcoholic drinks into my coke can.

Somehow (no actually with a lot of work on my part) I have managed to not become an alcoholic.
