When the last bite sucks....

Isn't it just the worst when you're enjoying a yummy sandwich, or something else that's just so tasty, and you take the last bite of it and it's funky tasting or has a lump of nasty gristle in it?

It's like the whole experience is ruined. Why couldn't that be the second-to-last bite, so you could've finished on a high note?

That's the worst!! 38
I barf when this happens!! 4

I look at the big picture and enjoy the whole experience. Why should I let one small piece of gristle (or whatever) ruin my sandwich? The rest of it was still good after all.

With a couple of billion folks in the world starving or underfed, worrying about having an opimal sandwich experience seems a bit frivolous, no?

      Oh please.
By those standards, we're not to complain about anything.

By the wise words of Blake Bliss,
suffering can't be compared. You can't compare suffering.

This is why I always eat the nastiest or worst tasting parts of food worse, but sometimes the last bite still ends up horrible. At those times I usually have to wash it down with something.

I immediately came to the same conclusion. The image of the movie "Vampires Suck" sprung to my mind.

      • Hey, guess what bite, suck and blow?

        No, it's not vampire prostitutes.

        It's your comments!!

Awful. Some people can do it and some can't. You're among the can't.

Whenever something like that happens; I just break off the nasty piece and eat the rest.

Eat the crust first and the middle last

I can't stand gristle or overly cooked hamburger (nnot to be specific). I have to spit those last bites out. Which then creates a wonderful image to go along with the horrible experience. The worst.

That does suck. I've had many meals ruined because of biting into something that should not be there. Those times I wish it had been on the last bite instead of like the second or third. Part of the reason I don't eat much meat.

I agree with you, the last bite sucks and the best part is usually in the middle.

I always eat the crap parts first, then all that's left is delicious!

The last bite is so fucking important! I especially hate when it's a yummy slightly burnt piece of hamburger meat with a fucking gristle in it! That has bothered me for months.
