My friends think I'm a nut because I start listening to Christmas music every year around the beginning of October. They claim that's waaay to early, but I just love Christmas music! What do you think?

I can't stand those Christmas commercials and most people just care about the presents and what not. What happened to the real meaning of Christmas!
Its because now Christmas is a secular holiday. As religion isnt running the world now most people make christmas childish by creating Santa etc. Its all just for fun really!! Im sure religious families like to go to church and do their thing (im not really sure what religious families do on Christmad sorry :/ ) but... Yeah.... :)

Coodoes to ya, I agree with you, what did happen TO THE REAL MEANING OF CHRIST----MAS. I thought that Christmas ment Mas of Christ, or the birth of our Saviour. That is the only reason for Christmas to me. Agree with you 100%. Glad to hear someone else knows the real meaning. :D
I'm an atheist from an atheist family. I've celebrated Commercial Christmas for ages. All the Christians can go to church and pray but don't guilt trip me and let me have my eggnog and Christmas lights. Some people like commercial Christmas.
It's a pagan holiday anyway just like Halloween.
Yeah, Christmas is VERY commercialized now-a-days. It's not getting any better either. That doesn't mean that I have to be a Grinch about it though ^_^
christmas music may be annoying but it always takes me back to childhood christmases which were a lot different than they are now. back then you really FELT like it was christmas and it was so exciting and cozy and family oriented. now christmas means getting drunk on eggnog instead of beer and wearing a santa hat along with your usual slutty outfit to a club and buy something not that fun like a new phone.

I can't believe so many people said after Halloween. When I was a kid in the seventies, every Thanksgiving some old station would have the 1933 movie "King Kong" on and on Thanksgiving day, that is when they would start putting Christmas commercials on. Now it starts the day after Halloween or even before it.
Christmas Day is our time to put on the Tweenies Christmas cd we bought our son 10 years ago :o)
