  • I don't want people to talk to me like i'm an asshole because of it. My parents never enforced hygiene as a small child. It's not my fault. And it's difficult for anyone to get into new habits.

Of course! Your hygiene was neglected which is a sign of lazy parenting.

Try to do something that will make you remember. In fact, if you remember in the early evening, brush them then in case you forget later. Brush thoroughly and use floss when you remember that you forgot to brush.

If you can associate the taste of gum with the taste of toothpaste it will become more of a habit for you.

Good luck. Look after yourself from now on, these are your last ones.

  • i would think the bad taste you get in your mouth from not brushing your teeth would be enough motivation. I cant stand the taste i get if i dont brush my teeth. It feels so much better after a good toothbrushing.

I never brushed my teeth either as a child, I started brushing them everyday when I was 13.

I had the same problem. So my older brother told me this, "No one wants to kiss somebody with bad breath." Plus the more you brush your teeth, the better you feel.

I went through the same thing. I've grown out of it though, just think of the bills it will cost you in the future lol

I started the habit of brushing early, when I noticed my dad brushing his teeth one night. I asked him why he was brushing so late, and before I knew it he explained everything about the pros and cons of brushing twice a day. I quickly began reminding my older sister to brush each night, although now I worry about my own teeth only.

To make a long story short, it's not very normal from my point-of-view.

Not healthy, you may not see the consequences until later in life.

I'm the same way. Even now, it's easy to forget, and I only make a habit of brushing when my teeth start to hurt.
