When i was like 13 my dad told me...

When I was like 13 (just over a decade ago now) my dad told me something along the lines of “you see son, girls have like a little button down there (referring to a clit) and if you’re ever “gettin with” a girl, what you gotta do is eat that button.”

I think recall thinking for a few years that there was legit something on a girls private parts that I actually fully eat.

Anyway, just crossed my mind, wondering if it was normal for my dad to tell me that at that age. Lol.

My dad got me a hooker when I was 16 to pop my cherry. He did her first to show me what to do then he encouraged me on when I did her.

There's a South Park episode about this very thing where Chef tells Stan what's up with the clitoris.

Everyone parents differently. Im not in favor of sheltering kids too much. I dont think its beneficial to shelter them from everything. Idk if I'd tell my son to eat pussy directly but you get the idea. I dont think its bad to explain to someone that age how sex works.

My daughter is approaching the age you were then, and I can't imagine my wife talking to her about sexuality in so much detail at her age. (The only way I'd be comfortable talking to her about the details of sex would be if she asked me to get into the details of what it's all about for guys when she's a few years older.)

I guess your father's motives were positive, and it's good that he gave you a heads-up on the importance of the clitoris. I'd question his timing, but maybe his first sexual experience occurred around the age you were then, and when he looks back on that with the benefit of his experience, he knows he could have done things much better. That's very definitely true for me.

His wording was also a little weird. It's not how I would have expressed the concept, since I know kids can take things in a very literal way. I put the erroneous conclusion you reached in the same category as a girl who has heard about blow jobs, and so tries to inflate the first penis she has in her mouth.

The bottom line is that parents are just people, and people regularly get things wrong. Even intelligent, loving, conscientious parents are winging it most of the time, and they often screw up in little and big ways.

No but at least he's trying to give you some knowledge that a lot of straight men don't have until they're in their fifties, unfortunately lol
