When i'm in a car with others i have to have a window slightly open

When I'm in a car with others, I always feel like I have to have my window cracked open a bit even on freezing cold nights because I feel like we're running out of oxygen. I don't know if that thought is because it's a small car or if I'm chlostraphobic or something, though I'm not scared of being in small places. Logically I know that we're not going to run out of oxygen but I can't help it. So is this normal? Does anyone else do this?

I've voted normal because I do this too. The first thing I do when I'm home is opening windows. Fresh air is magic..

I've known people like this. They are usually a little claustrophobic but not crazy about it. Or they have breathing issues in general. But remember that the car has these controls for ventilation on the dashboard. And they most certainly are not air tight, otherwise you could easily turn them into submarines.

When you have a full car of people, it generally gets very hot inside quickly and if you don't have vents or windows open, you're pretty much inhaling the same oxygen as the rest. Sweaty peoples oxygen.
