Hmmm... does your "exercise" involve strengthening the jaw muscles by using them to break up potato chips?
I've seen stuff like this on here for at least 3 times. Your WEIGHT is irrelevant. People seem to forget they also have muscles, bones, and bodily fluid, that compose most of their weight. If by "working out" you mean doing weight training (doing curls, squats, etc with weights), then it is inevitable that your muscles develop, and depending on what and how much you eat and how much strain you put on your muscles, you may end up with the exact same weight, or become heavier than you were before.
But that doesn't mean you get FATTER, you may just have more muscle mass than before. That's why the best way to lose weight is to combine exercise and diet. Your goal should be to lose fat, NOT weight.
A lot of chicks starve themselves and have the impression that they lose fat, by losing weight, but in reality their muscles shrink because they require more energy to be maintained, but still have fat deposits.
When I exercise I lose weight. Of course that is because I also eat a healthy diet. If you exercise but eat garbage you may gain weight... Aka muscle underneath fat which will push the fat out and make you look and actually be heavier.
I agree with what spacerandy said. Lose body fat, not weight. Gaining weight may mean that you're gaining muscle mass, which you need to burn off more calories, and losing weight may mean that you're dehydrated or losing muscle mass.
Stop looking at the scales and instead get a decent amount of vigorous exercise a day.
I recently lost weight due to not going to the gym, but after going to the doctor was informed that I had just lost muscle mass, so it was nothing to worry about.

Yes, when you work out you gan mustle which weighs more than fat. Idealy you need to work out your BMI (Body mass index)
I was worried about this too, like my jeans were even starting to feel tight, but at least its good weight and now everyone tells me that I have and awesome butt! dont stop exercising, you wont gain that much weight
