These aren't great options.
What is Alt.? You mean Alternative? Alternative what? Alternative rock? Alternative Hip Hop?
K Pop is a subgenre of Pop, why does it warrant its own option? US Pop is much more popular.
Rap isn't a genre, it's a vocal delivery style. Some people use Rap to mean Hip Hop. You've put both Rap and Hip Hop.
Comedy? Who ever says their favourite type of music is comedy?
I'm sorry to be critical, but when people make polls like this without considering the audience who is going to be answering it, it's frustrating! It could have been an interesting poll if you'd considered more and better options.
Progressive metal, death metal, black metal, folk metal, progressive rock, classical.
Metal and Gangsta rap.
None of that pop hip hop radio shit.
Same thing with metal, unless you have Sirius you can't listen to good metal on the radio(for my taste.)
Blues rock, delta blues, polka, classical, baroque, dubstep, hardcore, deathcore, minimalism, ambient, house, alternative, bossa nova, gypsy jazz, grunge, trip hop, heavy metal, garage rock, indie rock, a capella, swing, punk rock, big band, trance, rap, psychedelic, acid jazz, melodic death metal, and progressive rock.
:D
Grunge. Soundgarden is my favorite, especially the album Bad Motor Finger, Superunkown and Down on the Upside were nice too, and Ultramega OK. And I love Black Sabbath. Especially Black Sabbath Vol.4 and Paranoid, Master of reality is next, And Never Say Die was my least favorite. So Grunge and old Heavy Metal.
Any of the subgenres of Electronica( Trance,Techno,House,Dubstep, etc), followed by oldschool rap
When answering this question, these are the four foremost types of music that come to mind:
1. Classical
2. Instrumental-type songs for thinking deeply or meditating
3. Techno (preferably Trance and lighter sub-genres)
4. J-Rock
Although, there is no need for worry on the last selection - All of the typically intense passion and annoyance of K-Pop, J-Pop, or other fans of the like is not as prominent in J-Rock.
In fact, I've yet to come across someone who does none of the following:
1. Obsess over Manga
2. Obsess over Anime
3. Obsess over Fan-Fiction
4. Sling inaccurate and overused Japanese phrases around
5. React heavily to contrasting opinions on music
While still finding a healthy interest in J-Rock over its Pop counterparts.
Hope that helps!
Then you have yet to come across me.
1. Don't even know what the fuck manga is
2. Couldn't care less about anime
3. Fan-fiction.........no
4. I Don't use japanese
5. Everybody has their tastes in music and i respect that.
But domo arigato for your post anyway mr roboto..................shit!
Where is metal/heavy metal/death metal/melodic death metal and all of that shit? anyways thats my answer
I think the 80's had the best music. The 21st century music is okay, but mainly I listen to 80's CDs.
Classic rock, and anything electronic with a tune. Oh, and nothing Buckley doesn't like. (Buckley doesn't like anything, but some things get on his list sooner than others.)
I'm willing to listen to any type of music as long as it's good. The main genres I like are Hip-Hop, Pop-Punk, Art Rock, Dream-Pop, Indie, Dance-Punk and Soul.
Sub-genre names are cool.
Techno, dance mixes, 80's, 70's, rock, (Depeche Mode still my fav band). enjoy Kevin Bloody Wilson & Wierd Al for comedy :D . Do not like R&B, rap, hip hop, country.
Dubstep, Electro, Electro House, Electro Swing, Drum and Bass, Power Metal, Post Rock, Ambient, Chiptune, some other genres I can't think of at the moment. I really need to expand my tastes...
Metal, electronica, dubstep, horrorcore, System Of A Down.
So pretty much a wide range of music.
Progressive rock. And old stuff.
Really - I've been listening to a lot of John Denver lately.
Rock/metal all the way!
I listen to more of 90's and classic rock though. I do listen to some of today's rock though too.
I also do like adult alternative music.
I don't really have a preference, but some of my favorites are:
(death)metal
screamo
post-hardcore
alternative
experimental rock
J-Pop/Rock
I know this might sound weird to some here, but I was trying to be honest.
Rock, Metal, Alternative, Comedy (especially john Valby), and Classic Country
you said honest. the only think i can ALWAYS listen to is classical music. Everything else has to fit the mood i am in.(Electro/Metal/Rock/...)
