What you think of older men hanging out with young teen girls?

That is no sexual intent, ever.

I know Americans will freak out over this, what with all those TV show set-ups such as Catch a Predator but in the rest of the world it's not a big deal for older men to hang out with a much younger girls.

I'm 29 years old. I've been friends with this 11- year old girl in Vietnam that I recently met at a comic book store. I befriended her mom, and she's completely OK with me picking her up at school. I took her to a movie yesterday. She's a plucky, intelligent girl and we enjoy spending time with each other.

I'm aware she is very young and where to draw the line. Sometimes I kiss her on the forehead and she likes to fall asleep on my shoulders. Pretty innocent. Everyone just assumes I'm her older brother or dad.

I don't see what is wrong with such a picture in United States though. Why can't I spend time with a 11 year old girl without someone judging me for it.

    Perfectly fine, my boyfriend when he was in his 20s was in similar situations, he was there Pokemon professor, anyways they were all close and ganged out sometimes he picked em up at school as well, it's perfectly fine really, personally if I had a kid I wouldn't care who they hanged out with as long as they told me, but I will be at be a parent go sterility!

    One of my friends (now 26) was/is good friends with a 17-year-old and they met up.

    She now has a boyfriend her age (Which I'm quite relieved about in the weirdest way and he's getting over).

    This gap sounds large to me but maybe she doesn't have many positive male role models. Have you or the mother thought about how things could potentially go when she hits puberty?

      Might be best not to think about that, she could easily end up desiring him, I remember my attraction for older men spiking around that age
