What would you rather want?

I'd take the money and purchase a bench from an AIDS research center for $199 billion.

Big cash, because:
1. Aids is a manageable/ chronic disease now.
2. You said no donations, but you didn't say anything about funding stuff like zero-emissions transport, nuclear fusion, smart city planning and other stuff that will improve the lives of people, be kinder to polar bears and even turn a profit! That's technically an investment, just one that benefits everyone.

With few exceptions dealing with blood work, I thought there was already a cure for aids.

If you don't want to die sky diving, don't jump out of the plane. If you don't want to drown stay out of the water.
Sure you might find exceptions but your chances and risks are greatly decreased.

I'd take the money and give to numerous charities especially child or sexual abuse causes. Although you stipulated you can't donate it. I'd find a way to spend a lot of it to help them.

Spend the Bezos billions on AIDS "gain of function" research.

A cure for AIDS, 100%. If I couldn't donate any money, I would probably end up being quite guilty and unhappy...

Aids isn't as big of threat as it once was. The loophole in your choice against donating, is I would take the money and just spend it all far and wide and improve the livse of many that way.

Cure for aids. I couldnt in good conscience do the alternative.

Aids already has a cure. You just take a pill the rest of your life. People can die in their 80s of old age now with aids. When I went to this methadone clinic they had this dude come in and tell us all about aids and he explained how he has it and he's lucky he didnt get it in the 90s or he would be dead. He found out in time to start the meds and it never advanced. He looked fine.

I'll pick the AIDS cure. That's better than a pile of cash I wouldn't know what to do with. XD
