So this happened to a friend of mine, and that combined with a is it normal chat I had this morning had me curious enough to post this.

So your at the bar, and after a long night you manage to convince the most beautiful girl there to go home with you even though you are very drunk. After a long cab ride home, the two of you are already making out as you enter your house, and proceed from there to heavy make-out and grinding on your bed. It gets very hot and heavy before you slide her pants and underwear off of her and start to kiss her stomach, only to have her uncross her legs and reveal a secret! Now she is very pretty, and looks like a real girl, even has a girl figure and a girl voice, but still has a penis. She is transexual. What do you do in this exact moment?

    I'm not sure you do.
    
    "Sex" refers to genitalia.
    "Gender" refers to social norms (clothing, behavior, etc).
    
    Someone who is transgendered is someone whose identification as masculine, feminine, or somewhere in between is at odds with what is between their legs. So somebody with a penis who behaves like a woman, dresses like a woman, and introduces themselves as a woman is a male-to-female transgendered woman.
    
    Obviously, not divulging this information to somebody you're interested in is stupid and insensitive. But with that aside, I don't pretend to know how these people feel because I don't. And neither do you. So if they want to go by "he" or "she" or anything else, so be it. What the fuck do we know.

      I am aware of the difference between gender identification, sex, and the definition of transgenderism. Nowhere did i state otherwise. But that's not really what this poll is about. This is about a biologically defined male attempting to have sex with an unknowing heterosexual, which is the definition I am refering to. And i agree with you, there must be incredibly complex emotions involved that i know nothing of. And now that i read some comments again, i think you're comment wasn't in reference to mine anyway.

        The problem I am having figuring this out, is that I meet the "girl in question". It's absolutely amazing what they can do with hormones and surgery apparently. She has natural breasts, that had been surgically augmented, her body had changed so it was proportioned as a female with wider hips, even her facial structure had shifted into a female configuration apart from surgically augmented lips. At first glance, she is better looking than most real females that I know, so she can take ANY guy she wants home.
        
        I guess i'm just confused as to when "he" becomes "she". If "he" goes ahead with the full sex change does "he" become "she", or should we address her as a female the whole time as per her wishes and how she acts.

        You should address them however they want to be addressed.
        
        People put a great deal of importance on gender, as if without knowing what pronoun to use we're just at a loss with how to interact with a person. A person amounts to much more than their gender. The only time it should matter is when things get sexual, at which point any details about sex or sexuality should be divulged.

        I try to look at things objectively, emotions do not and can not change facts. If you have a penis between your legs you are a male. I empathize with the fact that transgender people feel they have been born the wrong sex, the difficulties they face, the lack of identification with their own bodies. But none of this changes facts. When you look up "male" (he) in the dictionary is doesn't say denoting the SEX that produces spermatozoa... unless you feel like a woman, then you're male too. I know everybody likes to think we live in a magical world where you can be whatever the fuck you feel you want to be, but you can't. If I glue a god damn traffic cone to my forehead does that mean i'm a unicorn if I want it to be bad enough?
        
        Now, all this being said. I agree with flutterhigh, I will refer to a transgender person when speaking directly as the gender they identify themselves as simply out of respect and politeness. But I do not believe for a second they are who they claim to be. I don't make the rules.
        
        Now transsexuals, that's a whole different post.

That's a definite deal breaker. And i'd be more than a little pissed i was tricked into makin out with a dude. That's like someone giving you a wrapped present, telling you it's a gold ingot, then seeing it's a steaming turd when you open it. But multiply that disappointing scenario by 318,215. Or it's like being tricked into nearly fucking a guy when you're not gay...yeah, there is no comparative substitute scenario.

i dont understand how guys can call themselves girls just because they wear a dress. if i was tricked into sleeping with someone like that then i would get very angry and probably punch him in the face too (if i was a dude). even if i picked up what a thought was a guy and turned out to be a really butch chick, i would be really pissed off that they tricked me into believing they had a penis. even people who have had the complete sex change should be honest about it and not trick people into being with them, its wrong and immoral and just plain fucking rude.
