What would you do if you found this out about someone your dating?

What would you do if you were a woman and you were dating a guy. And you find out about this guy that he is really into bodybuilding. Not like the steroid abusers who cover themselves in oil and flex on a stage for hours in front of judges, but a non-competitive one that was just very into training and eating a specific way to look good naked? Like training specifically to get broader shoulders, a narrower waist, ripped abs and a large round ass.

If you are a girl, what would you Do? And if your are a guy, what do you think most women would do based on your experience and or intuition?

Please comment with your opinions I welcome and respect them. I am just curious what people think with this poll, I'm not sure what the answer is myself honestly.

I'm a girl, it would be a turn off 2
I'm a girl, I would be indifferent and care more about other things 6
I'm a girl, it would be a turn on all else created equal 1
I'm a guy, she wouldn't like it 0
I'm a guy, it depends too much on the woman to say for sure 7
I'm a guy, she would likely be turned on/interested by it 4
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

My old man was rocking the "dad bod". Not fat but not fit. And then he started working out. I miss his fat ass. But am quite indifferent aside from the booty.

Are we talking about your biological dad here, or is it a nickname for you significant other? I'm confused mate.

I'm indifferent. It makes him happy so it's cool.

If my boyfriend suddenly got into body building and became muscular, I honestly wouldn't find him physically attractive anymore. It's his body, he can do what he wants with it, I won't stop him from doing it, and I'll still love him, but that's how I feel about it.

So when you say you aren't physically attracted to muscularity, what is that based off. Like who did you see and were like 'that's too much'? Because most women agree that it's not always the more ripped the better, but up to a point it does improve attractivenss. Also I'm curious based on your perception if you think most women think like your or not? I am OP BTW.

It's not really based off anything. I just prefer guys who look and act feminine. Since most women I've known don't like when a guy shows any sign of being feminine, I don't think they think like me. My boyfriend's tendency to wear long women's coats and pink (his favorite color) seem to weird some women out. Lol

It does nothing for me in terms of attractiveness, but it's his body. If that's how he wants to be, I'd support him, long as he was healthy and sensible.

    • So you would be in the 'indifferent' group? And you are a woman as I recall. Thanks for your opinion that's what I hoped people would say honestly.

Yeah sorry I rarely vote and just skipped the poll section. I'll go back and do it now.

I just think that however a person wants to be, within health and sensibility ranges, if you love them, you let them be who they are. I love my boyfriend exactly how he is, and if he chooses to change his physical appearance, whether I "like" it or not is the least of concerns. I mean, he'd take my preferences into consideration, as would I his if the situation was reversed, but we ultimately just want each other to be happy, healthy and comfortable in ourselves.

              That's the plan!

              Comment Hidden ( show )
  • Yes, most people woukd agree that beyond a certian point, having more muscle is not ideal. Yet most people agree being decently fit is an improvement on your attractivness a there is even some research for this.

Thanks for responding mate! I could probably help you build a better physique, in case you care, I'm a junkie for that sort of stuff and am working on my degree in exercise science right now actually(getting distracted by this site at the moment though. Lol!) and have been lifting for 6 years. This probably isn't the place for this type of stuff though.

that's awesome though, are you gonna be a physical trainer? and do you like muscular women? I cant imagine that a lot of guys do, but i dont see why not! as long is it's not too over the top, still femme, it can look pretty good

Yes mate, I'm personally training people at a commercial gym on an internship right now and hope to build enough respect in the industry over the years to make a comfy living. Women who lift are quite appealing to me also. They can never achieve enough muscle mass to be to masculine for me, at least not naturally. If women build some thighs, a lot of glutes and are lean enough that their tits look good compared to their thin waste, they are irresistible!

I think you got a bit of flak on your other post about women not being attracted to muscley types.

When I say I don't find bodybuilders particularly attractive I'm always thinking of the greasy, roided out, bulging, thick neck, ketotard dudes. I think MOST women are indeed attracted to guys that are physically fit & lean with muscle. There's a reason so many celebrities look this way. What isn't attractive is the people that take it unhealthily far.

It's your body, as charli said & it seems like fitness & health is important to you & that's very attractive. You shouldn't focus so much on womens' prefrances. Pretty much every woman I've spoken with who has a "type" will almost always make exceptions (with in reason) for a guy who's funny or successful or charismatic or a million other things. Our "type" changes over time too Haha.

    We are nonsense creatures!

    • Thanks for your response? I do know that most women are grossed out by the ridiculously muscular steroid using bodybuilders. There is a point where it's not the more jacked and ripped the better although, like you said, all else equal being fit is usually a good attribute to have.
