What would you do if...?

What would you do if your friend (but not close friend) had dandruff and extreme greasy hair and you knew for a fact that they showered once every other week. Would you tell them to wash more?
Keep in mind your friend hates being told what to do.

Nope, I'd keep it to myself. Wouldn't want to cause a fight. 30
Heck yes I'd tell 'em, he/she needs to wash more! 68
I'd hint it to them the best I could. 102

I would bring a HUGE gift basket of hygiene products, set it on his door step, ring the bell and run. This way he won't know who thinks he's gross, but he'll assume it's someone he fancies, ergo...clean up time!

I would drop it to them. I mean, people are going to tease them otherwise, and I know what it is like watching a friend get hurt, it feels horrible.Tell them, and if they get upset, then give them time and don't pressure them into becoming friends.

I'd try to say it nicely, maybe through e-mail so it doesn't seem so confrontational.

Then again, maybe just take the person to the pool. You know how you have to shower before you get in? Maybe I'd offer my soap/shampoo or something...

I'd be nice about it because not taking care of yourself could be a sign of depression.

  • Ew... My close friend has a shower every other day and she smells really bad especially when she has her period. She also doesn't shave so she has a big lump of hair on her arm pits. I believe that she's given up on her appearance because she's over weight. I don't say anything, but I hint it to her the best I can.

actually it's very unhealthy to clean yourself TOO often. not only do you kill the bad bacteria, but you kill the good bacteria, which ultimately could weaken your immune system.

Yellowchalk is right, it can also actually damage your skin.
