My current bf has a teenager daughter from his previous marraige.He is not on good terms with his ex because she is drunken headcase who likes to play games and allows their daughter to drink and use drugs in the house.His daughter has some important legal papers of his that he needs in order to get medical insurance-he just had a stroke.She refuses to give him the papers.What can he do?

    Their has to be a way to get new papers. Go to whoever issued them and explain the situation. And He should have a no contact order issued between the daughter and mother if she is giving the young girl drugs and booze. My mom used to do that for me when I was a young teen and it fucked me up. I regret it now,.

    I do suggest you stay out of it, if you really want your boyfriend to get his papers... stay out of it.

    secondly... how did she get the papers anyways? I wouldnt let a teenager have papers i needed.

    If the mom is a headcase (and you arent just biased by your bf) then stay out of it. The last person the daughter is going to listen to is a nosy girlfriend.

    seriously, people like you used to really get me angry... tell your boy friend to get new papers...stay out of it, it doesnt involve you at all... dont try to be this girls mother... it would be better for everyone.

    plus, teenagers smoke pot... and by telling them they cant makes them want to do it more. Hey at least it's not crack!

      Problem is, it IS her business because it DIRECTLY AFFECTS HER. Whether or not the daughter, or YOU for that matter, wants to accept it, she is a part of her bf's life and that means what affects him directly now affects her as well. She has every right to get involved but it should be though the BF unless he is physically incapable of doing so. It does involve her in everyway conceivable, so maybe you should try and consider that. It seems to me like you've had some issues in your past with divorce and step-parents. You should deal with those issues before giving feedback like you just have here.

      Listen assclown I am not making it my business when it comes to them.I simply posted the situation to get people's opinion because my boyfriend asked me what he should do.

      Secondly--she STOLE the papers out of our house!

      I do not know where you get the idea that I am trying to be anyone's mother at all.I do not speak to the ex and the kid because I have seen their actions and frankly I do not want to deal with them at all.They have attempted to drag me into their bs over and over again to the point where I had to get my number changed.They are drama queens.

      She does not smoke pot by the way.She does hard drugs.Its funny how you assume that I was talking about pot.People like you are ignorant......
