What would you do?

Point of view 1: I am in love with a guy, for like a year, and my friend knows because I've told her a billion times. She is with someone else, so is the guy I like. After half a year, my friend breaks up with her boyfriend. After a year, my crush splits up with his girlfriend too. After some weeks, I find out my friend has gotten with my crush.

Point of view 2: I am with a guy I don't really like. My friend starts telling me all about this guy she likes. Man she's right he's cute. But he's got a gf. Despite this, we start getting so close. I can't fall in love with him or my friend is going to kill me. After some months, sh*t, I love him. We are like best friends now and I really feel something else. I just hope he doesn't like me back or my friend would kill me. After some time, sh*t, he kissed me. I kissed him back. My friend will kill me but I do like him.

Well point of view two would be mine, I'm guessing my friend would be point of view one. I feel such a wh*re if I read the first one, but It didn't feel exactly like that.

What would you do? :(

Say yes to the guy 20
Say no to the guy 28

You know it's wrong stop fuckin around. You clearly have empathy if you can see through other people's eyes, so use it.

How're you unlucky? You had a boyfriend for however long, then this other guy ends up liking you too! Meanwhile your friend is just moping around, single, probably just flicking the bean.

        • Unlucky as in; I like somebody who likes me back but I can't be with him. It is difficult enough to find somebody you love who likes you back!

If you're hellbent, I would see how this guy feels about the girl who likes him first- not by asking though, only by observation (he won't tell you if he likes her). If he has no feelings for her, then you wait for her to get over it and ask permission to date him. However, if he does then you just plain gotta back off.
Honestly though, you probably don't like him like you think and if you persue this you'll likely be disappointed with him, look like a bitch, lose him, lose your friend, and crush your friend's confidence.

Haven't you ever heard of the International Code/Rule of Dibs? (Seriously, there is such a thing as that on Urban Dictionary.) Taking a best friend's crush is probably written in a book of what NOT to do.

Basically, I'd say no. Sisters before Misters (or whatever version you use).

Well I would never do that to one of my friends but girls are different to guys.

You are most likely feeling bad about your friend getting with the guy you like knowing you like him. That must feel like a huge betrayal of your friendship and trust. You can not control how he feels about you. You can control yourself and keep your hands off. Dont steal your friends boyfriend. You should tell your friend the truth. This is cheating don't continue. Secondly I believe the reason you are dating someone you don't love is to get over the guy your friend stole. This is not going to work. Leave your boyfriend if you don't love him.

I say get with the guy. Tell your friend so she doesnt here it from someone else first. If she liked him for a long time and hadn't told him then she is not ready for a relationship anyway. If shes not happy then she just has to deal with it cause you are allowed to be happy with a guy you like.

The communication between you and your friend should have been better. You should have let your friend know that you were having feelings for the guy. Now, it just looks like a sudden, spiteful betrayal. I still voted to get with the guy, but I have a husband and no girl-friends so no wonder.

    • I know, but I did not dare to tell her I was kind of falling for him too. She would have gotten angry at me. I mean, that's competence! And uhm, at least if you guys are happy together!
