What was your most memoriable year from the 1990s?

1999, I think it was the last time I felt in my opinion the world as a whole felt so optimistic about the future. Now 14 years later, the world feels so dark and gloomy.

Trick question.

Most of these people don't remember the 90's.

The year Pokemon came to the US. According to my mom, I "ate, slept and breathed" everything Pokemon. I spent so many hours curled up in a corner of the couch with my Game Boy that she would force me to take breaks in order to go outside and breathe fresh air because she was worried that all my gaming would make me sick.

I'm surprised that Pokemon is still so popular; I've even had several people on different websites treat me like I was weird for having outgrown it after I mentioned that I enjoyed it as a kid.

I have various memories from the 90s, but I couldn't pin point one year. They were the first 10 years of my life.

1996 Olympics, gymnastics.

While I was born in the mid-90's, I don't have a memorable year as my mind is almost completely blank on that period.

'92 was fairly memorable. First surgery, lost 30% of my body weight in 6 days, and moved a few times in just a couple days.

1998. My sister and I were the most unsupervised that year. We would ride our bikes through different neighborhoods, shoplift random crap from several stores, trade Pokemon cards with people much older than us, and get into trouble.
It was also the year/summer I met my Alaskan Husky Blackie. She was 2 years old at the time with a lot of behavioral problems and separation anxiety. She died in the summer of 2012.

1999, my first memories of my younger sisters were in that year.

1996 when I lost my virginity.
1993 most horrible year when it comes to high school bullying.

In 1997, I finally went back to school for my Master's Degree in Psychology after 25 yrs. of putting my family first. I'm not working in the field, but it was a great help in understanding myself, and my relationships.

Hmmm...well '93 and '94 were memorable for not such good reasons. Uhh, '97 was cool because i started driving. Lets see, graduated H.S. in '98. Some fun and unexpected things happened in '99...yaaa. that's my story.

I have fairly significant memories from all of them. But 94 was a big year that ultimately changed my life forever. My family moved cross country that year. And in 98 I got to travel around Europe and the Middle East so that was pretty exciting.

1999 is the only one I can remember anything from :P In my defence, I was only five. I started primary school though, which is kind of significant.

1999. Before the big scare of 2000. Lol people ran to stores buying water bottles by the bulk thinking some apocalypse was going to happen.
