I got so pissed off at her response I created an account just to reply, this was my second draft because the first one wasn't very nice.

"I have known a few anorexics in my time. I'm close to someone who has had this problem for about ten years and is still fighting. If I know anything from this it's that it's not going to help if I point out the outcome or flaws of anorexia. I haven't changed much, except I joke around a bit more.

My first comment was actually a story, 2 to be precise.

The first one was a story about why I hate teen Moms. That was after spending some time with a woman who complained that everyone needed to help her but when it came right down to it, all she needed help with was using a condom and getting her head out of her ass. While I have learned to be less negative and judgmental, as many of my friends are teen Moms and are great, I still have no sympathy for that woman.

She may already have a kid, and she may be over 18, but that does not make her adult enough to make the decisions that she has made, as a mature adult would not knowingly make such stupid decisions while everyone else must pick up for her slack. The nasty comments I got on that post really helped me to see it from a "this person is an idiot" rather than "these people are idiots because this person is an idiot" point of view.

My comment: It's really interesting to see how many people "defied" the laws and are commenting on this site when they are younger than 18. I guess it doesn't really matter though because the creator of this site doesn't seem to actually pay attention to age.

It was a fairly nice first comment. The rest of my early comments were stupid and intolerant, bordering on bigoted. I don't believe in mass-deleting my own comments because I like to keep my activity on IIN as a sort of record of how my opinions change throughout this part of my life, but I've been tempted to delete those ones many times. I'm really ashamed of them.
