    • Me too! Which did you like better, when you had to hide or seek?

Well, Triple M To The Third Power, I enjoyed hiding more than seeking. I really really sucked at the seeking part. lol

It was a game called Open The Gate.

There is one guy on the field and the rest of us are at one end. The guy in the field chooses one of us and that person must run to the other end of the field. If he gets there without being tagged by the guy in the middle, he yells "open the gate".

All the others run from their side to the other side. Whoever gets tagged must be in the middle of the field with the original guy.

This goes on until there is only one person left. That person wins.

Then there was another game I liked. It was kinda like dodgeball. One guy has a tennis ball and the others stand against a wall. The guy throws the ball at us and we dodge. If you were thrown, you are out. Last guy standing wins.

My favourite, by far, was Burn Ball. Imagine playing tag, but only with a tennis ball instead of tagging. You run around with your ball and look for the other players and throw them as hard as you can. If you throw somebody, that person is now the ball carrier and he must throw someone else

Telephone was a good one. I remember the place where I played it at used it like a lesson. The point of the lesson being, how the warped the things we hear can become.

In terms of computer games, I was a huge fan of the original Humongous games (I still am actually! :3) - Pajama Sam, Spy Fox, Put-Put, Backyard Sports - my favorite one was Backyard Baseball.

There was a educational series that featured a talking dog and I loved the game for Kindergarten level.

    The I Spy series.

    With more traditional games:

    - Hide and Seek
    - Tag and Freeze Tag (even though, at times, I found it very irritating to play)
    - "Imagination games" Pokemon, Harry Potter, The Incredibles, etc.
    - This game where you pick a color and have to call out cars you see that are that color.
    - The Alphabet Game (I invented this with my grandmother. Basically, you go down the letters of the alphabet, and whenever you are on a letter, you have to name something that starts with that letter. You can change the letter if you can't come up with anything else or if you tire of being on that letter.)
    - Hot Potato
    - Miss Mary Mack
    - On The Planet Mars
    - Other hand games that I can't remember the names of anymore.
    - Hopscotch
    - Jumping rope, even though I was never that good at it.
    - Capture the Flag
    - Dodge Ball

There's probably more but it's been so long, too long for me to remember everything.

I forgot about spin the bottle and truth or dare! Of course, the spin the bottle we played was a watered down version.

My siblings weren't nice to me. They would always get to hide and I would always have to look for them. One time I gave up looking for them and went in the house and fixed a sandwich and sat down to watch TV, and fell asleep. After a long time I woke up and thought I was in trouble and went back outside looking for them. We lived on a farm at the edge of town. Then I heard some talking out by the street and went and looked and there they were walking home from the store eating their junk food. No, they didn't get me any, but at least I found them. That was the last time I played hide and seek with them.

Its like hide and seek and tag mixed together. The seeker is thrown into a leaf pile where he/she counts, and the hiders can hide anywhere on the block including front and backyards of neighbors. When the seeker finds and tags a hider, the hider becomes a ghost and helps the seeker fins the rest of the hiders. When everyone is found, someone else volunteers to be the seeker, and the game starts all over again.
