    Aside from all of my psychology and sociology textbooks, which always seem to blow my mind in ways I didn't expect, I'd say 'Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies' (book) by Jared Diamond.

    I've never really had a book or article make me question any beliefs, but I have definitely had articles influence how I thought once I had already begun to question.

      I think that was what I meant. I changed the question a little. I'm more intetested in that piece of work that truly satisfied your thirst for knowledge.

        Alright, sounds good. Oddly enough, I'd say Wikipedia. Pique my interest with any random topic and the wiki for it will have enough basic info to get you started and enough sourced links to keep you going for hours and sometimes days.
