They tell me that the year was 1957. I don't remember things that far back.
They tell me I was born that year... It was the start of a great life... and none of the following years could have occurred if I had not been born...
1975. I was 25, living on the beach in California for $200 a month. Making good money. With my Malibu SS. Gas was $.45. Those were the days.
Peter Brown - Dance With Me https://youtu.be/pwz7cerVuKE If you can’t dance to that, you’re dead.
The song I enjoy listening to most from 1975 is Carl Douglas's 'Kung Fu Fighting'. I discovered it when I was in my teens on one of my dad's collected LPs.
I had never heard that one before. I like it! My favorites are Born to Be Alive, A Fifth of Beethoven and Do You Wanna Funk.
2004-2005, life was anime, best friend and video games. Simpler times. Just before entering middle school.
Probably this year. Finally have all my meds figured out, have a job, a place to live, a man that loves me, and a gaggle of stray cats I spend too much money on.
Its hard to say. 2008 was a year I partied a lot and got with a lot of girls that year was pretty much a non stop party.
But 2000 my grandad was still alive and I got to hungout at his ranch
This year I am making more monry than I ever have but life isnt as exciting
2009
Ended college. Had few months of a break from all. Damn, that time was gooooddd..
For me 2012. Because that's when I found the love of my life. Not a human, a country. New Zealand. I decided to devote my whole life to the service of New Zealand and Her Majesty the Queen. I'm happier than ever.
It would be hard to pick, really.
I would say the most recent year I remember being really good for me was 2017. I felt a great sense of peace and really enjoyed myself after an absolutely awful 2016 (which 2021 seems to be trying REALLY hard to emulate, unfortunately). 2017 still seemed like a pretty carefree year despite me being 22, and I met one of my favorite people that year. I had so many fun times with my best friend that year as well.
Before that, I would say probably 2006. It was the last "carefree kid" year for me, and the year before I began junior high, which was pure hell for me. I enjoyed a lot of hobbies back then and was not nearly as hard on myself or perfectionist as I am now, and I had an amazing imagination. I had so many big dreams, and was doing well in school, too.
There have also been some really good times scattered throughout years that otherwise had several unfortunate events in them.
They've all been pretty great. I've had some real shitty stuff happen throughout but I really enjoy life overall.
It was 2004 for for me also. I was 7 and turned 8 at the end of the year. I live in the south and saw my first snowfall ever on Christmas day. No one that I knew had died yet. My brother was 17 and hadn't graduated high school yet. Looking back it was the last ideal year for me.
mid-2010 to late 2011ish - started driving, listened to a lot of interesting music, and that's when i first started seriously reading poetry and studying languages.
2002, the last year I really had any friends and before I moved to secondary school, which was an absolute nightmare.
My favorite year was 2008, only because I used to dazzle teachers and play a lot on my DS back in the old days whenever I got back home.
