When my daughter was born and they handed her to me for the first time, it was all of the above.
The day my teacher hugged me. She risked everything to show me that she cared about me and for that I'm eternally grateful.
A day at the zoo with an old girlfriend. We were both highly amused by a chimpanzee that could raise just one eyebrow in a very suave manner and often did. He became Roger Moore the chimpanzee. Two otters alternately frequented a muddy ditch and played with stones in the pond. They became Bad Pit and Jennifer And-Her-Stone. An okapi became our friend Steve because of his ridiculous striped trousers. We were giddy and affectionate. It actually crossed my mind that this might be the happiest day of my life so far. Then she asked me what I liked about her. Somewhere in the middle distance, a car should have screeched to a halt, and I should have heard it and paused for thought. Instead, I told her that I liked her eyes. This was, in itself, true. They were the most wonderful deep chocolate brown and they always appeared to be smiling. She wanted to know why I liked her eyes. Then I really needed the screech of tyres, and perhaps a bolt of lightning too. I should have told her about the brown and the smiling. Instead, I told her that they were correct in number and generally in the accepted location for eyes. She laughed but I don't think she meant it.
There was little argument about which animals we should see. She likes small furries and I like small furries. I also like big furries, though, and nothing would persuade me to leave without seeing the polar bears. How I wish I'd avoided them. The male was navigating the enclosure in a pattern so tightly controlled that it had moved beyond anal and into mechanical. He took the same paths that led nowhere, again and again. I remembered the statistic that polar bears in a zoo have a territory smaller than those in the wild by a factor of (wait for it) a million times. To see him and his thousand-yard stare, I wondered whether he'd lost hope that the open moraine was just around the corner and had simply transferred his mind there; somewhere his body never would be. During this thought process of mine, my girlfriend named him. She chose my christian name.
On the way home I told her what I really thought of her eyes, about the brown and the smiling. She appeared to like it so much that she thought she'd put me right back on the spot. She asked what else I liked about her. Before I had time to think, the coach screeched madly as some idiot cut right in front of us. She forgot the question and we spent thirty minutes talking about sandwiches and snuggling.
For a day tinged with sadness, it seems strange that it still stands out as the pinnacle of a time when everything seemed easy, and hopeful, and bright. I miss being in a relationship.
The day a certain boy asked me to be his girlfriend! Ohh, that was so wonderful! I'll never forget it. It was our "first time", too!

so far...eh...maybe last week i guess. i used to be over 300 pounds and i've been losing weight for a year or so. i stepped on the scale and it said "199" and it felt pretty good to know i had lost over 100 pounds, and i'm still going. i want to lose another 30 or so.
its all been shit up to here, so I guess I didnt have it yet. KEEP HOPE!!
ahh, it was August last year. This boy I liked and knew for quite a while was 3 years older than I was. He invited me to his death metal concert and we listened to music together the entire night. After he hugged me and it was like we were both waiting for it the entire time. It was the longest most intimate hug I've ever gotten. I loved him and he was my first love. I'm not anymore, but... Yeah. It was amazing. <3
When I arrived in NYC for the first time. I was 16, going to study abroad (Im French), man that day was freaking cool.
Watching the sunset on the beach with my best friend at the time... it was perfect (she later became my girlfriend) :D
The day I finished the rebuild of my 69' chevelle....was the greatest day of my life, I love that car more then I love myself...lola's my baby.
Well when i was younger and very geeky , one of my friends had a LAN party going at his house. I came in last ( if you come last you get the worst spot to sit ). And 2 people fit on one table , On my left was a friend of the host ( who i didn't know ). And the night started of with some geeky gameplay.( Im always in search of friends who are random in a funny way and not random in an immature way . Because i didn't have much friends ).
Also in the LAN room the T.V was on , The Movie Yes Man was showing , well i don't know if you guys know the movie Yes Man , but the girl in the movie sings the most random made up songs EVER !. Then my friend started singing with , The funniest part is he has a GREAT voice and he nailed it. It was SOOOO random yet SOOOO funny .
They say love at first sight , well that was a best friend on first sight !!!
So we chatted , and made jokes , and LAUGHED LIKE HELL , coz we both understood each other's humour. It was sooooo awesome.
Then we started hanging out, It was 2 weeks , then we were best friends. He helped me Turning back to God. ( I didn't have decent friends at all , and i was a junky , Almost flunk Grade 8 in high school , And hated everyone coz of my past of being raped etc :/ )
We did fight the first 6 months , coz we had to adapt to each other with hobbies etc haha. Coz u have friends who you chill with , friends who you do sport with etc. But now another 8 months later. We are best friends. random info : And he is scared of bugs lol , screams like a little girl.
And now my whole life is positive , and im very optimistic and realistic at the same time.
And my family love me more than ever and i got alot of friends haha :D.
