What to do when your mother always complains about you?

Is this normal? I am a 25 year old woman hailing from a south Indian family. I am staying with my family in Dubai ,and currently I am looking out for a job here ,but unfortunately its been four years I am not getting anything permanent.what exactly is happening here is my mother is so judgemental and she always complains about me not being sincere to her,me not trying not enough in life to get something and her constant complaining about me not getting married.Having an unsupportive family who doesn't want to listen to your feeling and heart is really stressful,i really don't know how to handle my situation with my parents here maybe I am wrong maybe I am not trying enough but even if I try my mother never appreciates my effort which is really hurtful ,shes in a constant thought that we her children never supports her and we are after her money this leads to miscommunications and gap between us I don't know what to do to stop this ,Please help me guys with some suggestions or opinions do you also have similar situations?
