I know some about the true religion. I do not know much, in the whole scheme of things, but what I know, I shall share. We, of the Church, know what God wants, because God has told us, through the Bible, and through God speaking through people.
I'll assume you're not asking why you should believe in Christianity, since we've spoken about that enough already, so I'll assume you're asking why, assuming Christianity to be correct, you should believe Saints Thomas Aquinas and Augustine. They have explained many things, and their explanations do not contradict the known truth. False explanations will always contradict the known truth.
We have evidence as to what God wants, since we have been told what God wants.
Everyone who believes the Bible to be true says it's from God.
Aquinas didn't masturbate, since monks are not allowed to masturbate. Augustine's young adulthood was spent in complete sexual immorality. I don't know if he masturbated, but he sure did have sex with a lot of people. Look at him now, though; now he's a saint.
Finally, the moment I've been waiting for! What is it? Don't tell me it's the Bible.
"since we have been told what God wants."
The Bible is a claim, not evidence, moron.
"Aquinas didn't masturbate, since monks are not allowed to masturbate."
If that's actually true (I doubt it), he missed out on a LOT of fun. Anyway, Catholic priests aren't allowed to fuck little boys up the ass either. Doesn't stop them, now doss it?
"I don't know if he masturbated"
WTF? You just said that he didn't. Do you have problems with your goddamn memory?
"he sure did have sex with a lot of people. Look at him now, though; now he's a saint."
This is exactly what I mean when I say that I have my proofs, and you have your proofs.
I care about the moral corruption of the Vatican II heretical group the same amount that I care about the moral corruption of any other heretical group or religion; that is none, beyond the fact that it is moral corruption.
I think you need to read what I said again. I said:
"Augustine's young adulthood was spent in complete sexual immorality. I don't know if he masturbated, but he sure did have sex with a lot of people. Look at him now, though; now he's a saint."
I was not talking about Aquinas when I said the quote you provided.
Of course he is to you, since you're of a different religion.
You have quite a few idiotic opinions, that I hereby correct:
1. Humans, like all other animals, DO evolve. Creationism is 100% bullshit.
2. Masturbation is totally harmless, healthy and natural. It's not evil at all.
3. Homosexuality is totally harmless, healthy and natural. It's not a perversion of the Devil at all.
4. It isn't reasonable to believe in talking snakes and donkeys without proper evidence.
5. Atheism is not an active belief, it's a LACK of belief.
6. Atheism is not a religion. If atheism is a religion, bald is a hair color.
7. As a hardcore Catholic lunatic, you probably hate Jews. That's fucked up.
8. Transubstantiation is beyond ridiculous.
I've probably missed some idiotic statements of yours, but I can't be bothered. Grow a brain, retard.
What to do if prayer constantly doesn't work?

I see. You sure seem to be an expert on what God wants...
But why exactly should I believe it?

"We, of the Church, know what God wants"
No, you don't. You merely believe (on the basis of no evidence I might add).
"God has told us, through the Bible"
Who says the Bible is from God? The Bible? Nice circular argument you've got there!
As for Aquinas and Augustine, do you really think they've never masturbated? How gullible are you?
