What the f**k is wrong?

ok I was sleeping, might I add I stay in the garage. and I woke up my leg had a big red mark on it and it was hot. Then as time went on it swelled up, and then after awile yet again it bubbled up with blisters. I went to the hospital and their medical oppion was "It might be a Tropical Reaction and your skin is just going ablah blah blah" some funny noise. I swear if I loose my leg or die I am going to sue the hospital!

and I want to pop the blisters but everyone says not to, but I keep getting mental immages of takeing a seringe and sucking the sh*t out

what do you think it is?

It's a hot red bump with bubbled-up blisters.

Allergic to some bug that bit you, Mr. Garage Dweller. It is almost classic case. Reminds me of when I fell into an ant pile. :/

Just keep it clean. Don't scrub it. Don't pop the blisters. Just let your body take care of it.

Sounds like a chemical burn, or an allergic reaction to something. You totally can pop the blisters if you want just make sure you strealize what ur using and make sure you clean the area really well after.

There are lots of nasty things in the garage that can make you present symptoms of this horrific nature. Including spiders.

But I must ask-do you keep it clean if you live in it? The garage I mean?

If it feels like movement in there go see another doctor - red, bumpy is not a topical reaction - what a load of bull crap. And if another doctor doesn't say anything get HOT water, razor blade (clean brand new) alchol to sterilize - a lot of clean cloths, and cut it open! Be sure to clean everything out including your wound.

Red and bumpy is the usual allergic reaction following contact with the allergen - eg, that's EXACTLY what happens to my skin if it comes in contact with ivy.

I can't believe you're suggesting self surgery when firstly, you're not a doctor and secondly, you don't know what condition OP has, whereas the doctors who've seen it do and I hope OP doesn't follow your suggestion

That is messed up...sorry to be a buzzkill but you cannot sue the hospital if you are dead but anyway it could be a bite or something of the sort. I would listen to the doctors and just let it be, after all if you really want it to be better I would leave it alone as to not irritate it further.

i agree with mimir2 and the guy above. it does sound like it could be some sort of spider bite. but, if your not dead yet, your biggest worry is past. you will probably be okay, but i think i'd find another doctor.

This is a common condition called staff infection. It usually comes from something like a spider bite, and can be quite serious if left untreated. Go to the hospital again and get help imideately.

  • HYGENE is of the utmost importance

  • I see no reason why you shouldnt pop the blisters as long as whatever you use is stirilised well and you have swabs at hand to clean up the fluids that come out. You will need to clean the area well and keep it clean. Do that and there should be no problems.
fact is, most of the pain comes from the blisters forcing the skin off the flesh. release the fluid and ease the preasure and thus the pain.
HYGENE is of the urmost importance.
